Hi internet people,
Long time listener first time caller. I've been enjoying the build posts on here and figured I should start documenting my build, plus crowd source some feedback.
About my rig:
2022 JLUR 3.6 etorque. It's my daily driver that I wheel on the weekends. After a year and a half of ownership it's hands down the best vehicle I've ever owned, but it is also the first that I've owned that is under 130K miles
. I bought it after my wife's lease ended on our Rav4 and a deal fell through with a Bronco we had spec'd out. We had looked at Jeeps in our area before, but there was nothing in stock that we liked. Luckily, I took another pass and a dealer had just had someone back out of a new build that was delivered. It didn't have everything we wanted, but close enough and I could actually take it home that day. I haven't had any issues with it except for the random CarPlay interruptions. It's only been an issue a couple of times and I think it is more of a CarPlay issue than a Jeep issue.
All of my wheeling is in the northeast, but I am prepping to do a road trip and visit the classic off road trails around the country, shout out to @MeatRack for Badge of Honor Trail List in Google Maps. Currently working through a couple of upgrades and trying to do as much of the work myself. I work in IT so picking up a wrench is a bit new to me. Thankfully, jlwranglerforums, Youtube, and my local off road club have been great resources.
Options:
Automatic
4.10 gears
Weather Package (Heated leather seats, heated steering wheel)
Safety Package (Blind side and rear detection warning)
Cruise control
LED lights
Upgrades:
2022 Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Arcus Front Bumper
Harbor Freight Badlands Apex winch
Next Venture Motorsports Belly Skids w/ etorque and UHMW (WIP)
ARB Front M210 Diff Cover Black
ARB Rear M220 Diff Cover Black
Rough Country Lower Control Arm Skid Kit (WIP)
I'm shopping around for full width rear bumper with tire carrier. Factory bumper has been chewed up and barely hanging on. Considering options from LOD, Next Venture, Expedition One, or AEV.
Thats it for now. Nice to meet y'all.
