2020 jlu recon etorque

I was goin down the road and it went dead on me no warning. Got it home battery was dead. Checked battery and was good. Put it back in and jump it off. It has that big battery under it. And with it running it not getting any voltage to the battery. The alt/gen on this thing is 1100$. It’s only got 41k miles on it. Don’t see any blown fuses and everything is getting power but it isn’t charging. Has anyone run across this and is it possible the alt/gen thing is shot this soon.

I think it should be covered under the 5 year 60k powertrain warranty. I would give your dealer a call and have them take a look at it.

It’s not covered under power train but I’m hopeful they will cover under a federal warranty specific to the etorque generator ????
