I’m also hoping that with Jeeps High Tide Jeep week announcement, those of us currently waiting in D1 status for a 22 XR didn’t just get sent behind another 500 builds.

Won’t happen. They already removed it as an option on the Willy’s. Seen multiple posts about existing 22 Willy’s XR orders being cancelled. With the release of the new beach and shore editions coming on an XR platform, and Jeep guaranteeing 500 available at Beach Week, it looks like Jeep figured 52k (new edition) starting price for an XR is better than $40k (Willy’s)
It most certainly will, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrowl, but to compete with Ford they will have to offer it across the entire range, just will have to wait until parts can meet demand. They are smarter than Ford to not offer it if they can’t fill it, rather than let you order it and wait a year or longer for it.

That just furthers my suspicion that the XR's limited availability is tied to manufacturing.

Hopefully not brother. I’d like to think they allowed for this. They have been planning the High Tide edition for a while and I’d imagine that you wouldn’t of gone D1 if they were gonna have to take your parts.

I think the mopar 2'" lift is way bigger than the recon. However, when all said and done its way more expensive too.

Yeah, I had the Mopar lift on my 21 2 door and it looked like a 4 inch lift, my XR Rubi doesn’t look nearly as tall as that did.

Anyone had a chance to drive the Xtreme Recon with both the 2.0T and 3.6L eTorque? Wondered what there impression was in that comparison. I know there are plenty of discussions of motors and strengths of both, but was wondering specifically on XR package with the two different engines.

Been driving my 2.0 xtreme recon for about a month now. Its zippy and smooth. Yesterday we drove I70 from fort collins to winter park colorado with three mountain bikes on the back. Then after a day bombing trestle bike park we drove back home. Averaged 25.3 mpg. Going interstate speeds, at altitude, dragging bikes through the air

I'm thinking about ordering a Willy's XR with the 2.0. How does it do on the trails? Is there any noticeable difference between the 4 and 6 cyl?
