At least they’re easy and relatively affordable. I don’t think we’ve ever had the chance to sell spark plugs on one though, it’s always coolant in the hole.

Honda is on my naughty list right now.
same. Wife got a 24 CRV hybrid last year. Great car. But imagine my surprise when I start seeing the HG failures on the 2.0 hybrid engine too cause it has the same design as the L15 lol.

oh well. That’s what warranty is for! The 23 civic sport I traded in for my JLUR was great but oh so boring to drive. Guess I needed something to keep me on the edge 😂

My wife’s hybrid Pacifica is in for a warranty transmission replacement right now. What a blast.

Earlier today I happened to have watched a SFJ4x4 Podcast that talked about avoiding the transition years, namely the seven's (87 YJ, 97 TJ, 2007 JK) and the 2018 JL/JT.

Yes, that's a good idea, especially if your uncontrolled urges force you to buy a jeep, I'm here to tell ya.

As a disabled senior person on a fixed income with an 88 yr old father, ive been robbed by Stellantis. My wrangler was the first ever new vehicle I purchased at the age of 58 after suffering a violent assault at work. Serviced religiously. Never taken offroad. Shes a beauty and a beast. The brand is cheap, dangerous, and costly with zero accountability. I see a much more reliable brand in my future. And, an attorney.
On the work done on your jeep, Jeep warrants their work. You can find the details here; Mopar Parts & Accessories Limited Warranties - Complete Statement

with regard to Toyota products, until you research the affected model years, avoid the 3.4 turbo engine (a.k.a. V35A) in the Tundra and other larger Toyota/Lexus vehicles. My wife's 2025 Lexus has this engine and it may still be in the affected range. My understanding is the 2026 MY has some big physical changes.

I would bet that if you travelled back in time to whatever timeframe is in your head, that they'd be saying "they don't make anything like they used to."
Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme.

I love watching some of the comments here about engine reliability. People like to bitch about the issues, problems, and warranty they have encountered, but as soon as people mentioned Honda or Toyota they get defensive all of sudden.

"Honda and Toyota have problems, too." Is that really the best argument to defend Jeep and its reliability issues?

And the good old "back in my days", "cars in the 90s" (80s, 70s, 60s, whatever era you want to go back to), "they dont make it like they used to".... well, I am glad they don't.

As much as I love my Wrangler for what it is, I don't really have a strong faith in it to last 300,000 miles. Its a fun vehicle. Summer cruise around town with no doors, or trail ride at Windrocks. That's it. Its a show pony. For a reliable work horse to handle the daily grit and grind. There are better options on the market.

If I had the option to pick between the Chrysler Pentastar 3.6 V6 and Toyota 2GR-FE 3.5 V6 to go in to my Wrangler engine bay, I would go for the 2GR-FE. But that is just me.
