Apologize if this is the wrong section. I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Big Bear that’s overheating. A while back I replaced the thermostat, no issues. Now it’s overheat. On a cold start it will warm up to 245-250, then drop down to 220. If I’m going uphill it’ll claim back up to 235-240 then drop again. I had the coolant flushed and burped, and water pump replaced and still overheating. Also started heating a clocking noise coming the front end after shutdown. It’s not the clicking of the radiator cooling down, it’s something else. Any thoughts or suggestion will be greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like a restricted or dirty radiator.

Have you been through heavy mud or anything like that? Might be worth going to a DIY car wash and pressure washing the radiator to make sure the fins are not plugged with mud, but it honestly sounds like the only thing left is a plugged radiator.

Also make sure it was the right coolant - you can't mix Green 'all use' coolant with the stupid JK OAT coolant. If you do it'll congeale and clog the radiator.

If you did mix general coolant in, you'll have to dump the whole system, flush it out with water, and then I'd swap the radiator and re-fill it with the proper OAT coolant, and you should be 100%.

Also save yourself the sanity and get an OEM radiator as I had bad luck with 2x aftermarket radiators before giving up and buying the Mopar one that worked great.

Also this is the JL Forums (2019-Current), so try the same question on the JK Forums (2007 - 2018)!
