As I'm waiting for my factory ordered 2020 JL rubi to get here.. Ive been looking up lift kits and parts, trying to see what way I want to go. When I had my JK, I wanted to stretch it so thought why not the JL? Ive been looking but can't seem to find any parts for it or any company that has even done it? Seems like most companies are focusing on the JLU's rather than the 2 doors.

Jeeps lots of jeeps
It wasn't super common on the JK either. Did you check Teraflex? They had a stretch kit for the JK.

The wheel wells are pretty big on the JL. You can fit 38s with 2 inches of lift so not much reason to stretch unless you are looking for a longer wheelbase for other reasons.

Yeah, Ive checked EVO, Teraflex, Synergy and nothing.
Just loved the look for a 2 door stretched JK so imagined a stretched JL would look even badder.

How were you able to order a 2020? This is what I am waiting for to order as well (also a 2-door) and i don't see the build tool available on the Jeep's site for 2020 yet....

It’s available to order thru the dealers. Ordered mine on 07/11.

Oh, didn't know that. I'll check the dealers this week.

As for the lift, I also was looking high and low and decided to go with the Mopar 2" since in reality it is approx 3.5" lift anyway, plus the car's warranty stays intact. I actually got some answers in my other post about the part numbers and it looks like the Mopar 77072396AC is what i would need for a 2-door 3.6 engine (the xxxAC is the newest version where they corrected a lot of things). Also I plan to put 37" on it and this lift plus the fact that Rubicon has higher fender flares than Sport is way more than enough to clear them and have plenty of space left. It appears that Mopar is the lift to go to by a huge number of even hard core moders.

With that amount of lift your going to want to consider lower control arms, front and rear track bars and most likely spring correction pads to fix the bow.

Maybe yes, maybe no. With the xxxxxxAB and even more with the newest xxxxxxAC version of the lift they corrected the spring pads and there is no more bow as it was with the original xxxxxxAA version of that set. Also, at the end of the day it still is theoretically a 2" lift and since it's from Mopar (warranty and fixes are on them) they would definitely include all the necessary hardware to lower the cost of people coming back for adjustments. I don't really see too many users adding much to this set except for rare occasions where they sometimes add an adjustable trackbar (just in case, I'm looking at the Rancho for $170). But, every car is different so I will only know with mine after the installations how things are. I really hope I won't be one of the unlucky ones that actually need all that extra stuff. Cross my fingers, lol.

I am hoping GenRight offers something; they had a stretch for the 2 door JK, so hopefully they will follow that up with something for the JL. I imagine it will take a few years before it comes out (if at all). Their double triangulated stuff is really nice ... and pricey.

If you've got the checkbook I'm sure several custom 4x4 shops would happily take your money. This early I doubt you'll find a kit for that.

Why not buy a 4-door if you want a longer wheelbase? The work has been done for you.

I did a Metalcloak lift...maybe they might have something in the works...

You could always get longer control arms and work backward from there.

I'll sub that build...I need to cut my lower rear pinch weld seam and do not want to be the pioneer there...

Just like the 2 doors a lot better compared to 4 doors. The wheelbase won’t be as long as the 4 door but still functional.

We will happily make you a 2 door stretch long arm kit. You tell us how many inches you want to go (up to 8") and we can get it done, no big deal at all. The problem is the body work as nobody has come out with corners so you'll spend a small fortune on body work to make the stretch look right.

All that to say, we do custom length arms as a very regular thing and would not have a challenge making a stretch kit.
