Okay, Stellantis. Build a 2-door SOT already. I have the SOT on a 4-door and a factory soft-top on a 2-door. The SOT is a glorious $4k upgrade. It’s so, so much better than my true soft-top. As the name implies, the roman shade is literally one finger open and close operation, even while moving. Poke… done.

1. We know you have the parts. It’s just a shorter opening and fewer folds.

2. This ain’t exactly new tech. Bonnie & Clyde had it (albeit with fewer computerized controllers and stepper motors).

On a two door the SOT would pretty much end at about the sports bar, the current SOT mechanism would take up about 30 inches.

The 2 door rear seat would not benefit.

As much as I like the SOT, the 2 door is better served with the Sunrider for Hardtop, it provides the same opening as the SOT would for a lot less hassle.

It’s threads like these that prove people will never be satisfied.
It does not matter what the manufacturers build, people will always want something different.
Yeah, like those guys who want 10 way memory seats, Tesla screens, IFS/4 wheel independent suspension, exotic engines, etc. At what point does a Wrangler cease to be a Wrangler? For those who want it all, Mercedes already makes what you want. Yes, it's expensive, mainly because it has all of that stuff.

As far as the original post, I agree with the point made that there is so little demand for 2 doors as it is, that to add a SOT would be a net loss for Jeep. There would hardly be any sales. But, how hard would it be to put removable side panels on the hardtop, like the SOTs have, and a removable rear window? Those two features, combined with a Sunrider would be great.

And I suggest a removable rear window because in a 2 door, opened up like that, the rear glass would cause major wind buffeting.

A removable rear window with a SOT would be fantastic. Something similar to the removable quarter panel windows.

As it is, it's a precarious 4 bolts and two connectors, and a useless wiper washer hose disconnect to get it off. Not a lengthy process, but a pain in the ass none-the-less.

The removable rear glass could easily be done by Jeep. I’d buy it if they made it an aftermarket offering.

Removable rear glass would be a warranty nightmare for Jeep, considering the problems people have reinstalling the various tops properly.

The SOT is nice I will agree, but the main flaw with it is the lack of maintenance option to tighten the straps that operate the top. At Forty plus mph you can see light coming in on
both sides of the vehicle from the top lifting. This produces a very loud and annoying whistle. I would never have another one.

That's not normal. Have you taken it to a dealership to see what can be done to fix it?
