I will say that when I ordered my 2012 Wrangler the first day the order banks opened it was built faster, but I understand this time that Toledo has moving parts at all of it's facilities, i.e. Wranglers at the North, South, East, and West parts of the factory. Plus I think JLU's are so over-powering the 2drs in sales that Jeep is concentrating on them.

I have a 2dr Rubi, Manual, Hard top that I believe is relegated to a March production date, as every VIN with "CG6" hasn't moved an inch from D status. I'm guessing these are all Manual - Hardtops but I could be wrong.

Oh well, more time to accumulate a larger down payment!

Just finished with Jeep chat and they said "no eta on my build yet". I also asked about the golden ticket and the fact that it expires at the end of the month. Nothing they could do about it

So I am not saying I believe it but Jeep chat just told me that 2 door SOFT tops have begun. I asked twice to make sure she understand I was asking about soft tops not hard tops. She claims this was the information she was given as we were on chat. I'm still in D status regardless.

My VIN has CG6, but it's a manual soft top. I think you're right that they will build automatics first, though.

Transmission and top types don't end up in the VIN. If you are curious, the C in CG6 represents the Rubicon trim, the G represents the 3.6 V6 engine and the 6 is a check digit to ensure that the VIN is valid.

Looking forward to seeing who will be the first to take delivery on a 2 dr?

Maybe we can start with those are already on order and when is your expected arrival date?

Stopped by my dealer this afternoon and we went through a build. The ordering system is accepting 2-door hardtops again! No luck on Sting Gray was though, guess they really will make us wait until March.

I’m not that lucky. Ordered 12/12, black hard top auto Rubi, the first 2 door at my dealer. Haven’t heard anything....
