Cristina, just to make your decision a bit harder, I would love to sell my ACE sliders. I'm thinking the Roams would be better for what I want. Let me know if you somehow become interested.
one thing i certainly do enjoy about this community is the parts that get moved around

For any of you Florida Jeeple who like to photograph (and any of you non-Florida Jeeple who may be down here!),
if you'd like to experience wild Florida Scrub Jays in an amazing way let me know and I'll take you to a really cool area.
This is NOT a zoo or a park; this is an area I know in the Florida scrub and the birds are wild. They are protected so that's why they don't fear people.
The video is only 30 seconds or so.

Nice, I have a creek behind my house so I get CA scrub Jays (with the fancy head plumage), Turkeys, all kinds of birds that stop by on migrations, and at night there is an owl (sometimes 2) that sits in my back watching what might try to sneak down to get a drink at night.

I discovered trying to take a picture at night is much harder than one would guess. Its kinda cool to keep your window open in summer and listen to the owl.

That really sounds amazing. :involve:

The only thing I noticed (moved a lot as a kid), is that when you have a field or creak that close the number of mice and mosquitoes increases. Any issues with them?

Mosquitos not bad, probably due to a good population of little fish, frogs, dragon files (some really prehistoric big ones, I teach all local kids to leave them be so they keep on doing their job for us), and bats.

The rodents (and Raccoons + snakes) are a factor, you have to stay on top of, I cant use poison (or owl might end up eating poisoned rat), but keeping yard clear of wood piles and debris + lots of traps under house/garage works best.

The less stuff for them to hide in the better job the owl and small bobcats can do catching them (and if they are hiding snakes come which I dont like)

That sounds great! I'd love to see some of your Ca scrub jay pics!
Yep, night photography is challenging! It's one of the things I teach in my "Adventure Photography" trips. Here are some tips:
- Have a partner. Your partner will have a hand held spot and you (the photographer) will be wearing a headlamp. Your partner will be throwing light in the general direction while your head lamp will be throwing a little more onto your subject.
- Depending on your camera, shoot in RAW and dial down your exposure compensation a few clicks in order to get your camera to shoot faster. That way your photos will be clearer with less motion blur.
Here's an example of a burrowing owl. The owl can't see me because I'm behind my head lamp so it allowed me to get a little closer as well.

No, but I can’t wait to hear your review!
Its a bundle but the most complete lift I've seen thus far, and in the range i expected for such. I like that its designed for 35's also.
