i agree , but unfortunately i have to drive the kiddies to school every morning . So cant remove the rear seat quite yet.Old timer Jeepers did not like the cj-7 when it came out as it was "waay long and not good for offroading due to the length (talking guys that hard wheeled)".
Imagine if they saw one these 4 doors or the limo truck lol.
Same with trucks its hard to find a 2 door due to families and work crews wanting more room.
For me a 2 door Wrangler with soft top and rear seats removed is the only small pickup truck, convertible 4x4 on the planet :O
My seats go in an out depending on kids/dogs or if I need truck mode. My kids all drive now, so other than my horror of the insurance, and your terror of first year drivers my taxi time is over!i agree , but unfortunately i have to drive the kiddies to school every morning . Me too. The sugar sand is challenging but not the "turn over and flip 20 times as you roll down a hill and rocks fall on top of you" kind of wheeling. Though I did pick up a few scratches on my vinyl windows from the branches. Oh well. That is more the type of wheeling I really like. We have more of the rock crawling here in Texas, I enjoy it just not as much fun for me and more chance to doing damage to the Jeep.
My oldest just got his license last week. My insurance premium DOUBLED.My seats go in an out depending on kids/dogs or if I need truck mode. My kids all drive now, so other than my horror of the insurance, and your terror of first year drivers my taxi time is over!
I would love it if I could get the wife to trade her Rav4 in on a 4 door auto. Best of both worlds!I have felt the same way, but more recently have considered the ideal of getting a 4 door. Of course not at the cost of my 2 door, no way I give that up. We keep 2 four door vehicles because of family stuff. If my wife wants to take my Q5 I may look at trading her Highlander for a 4 door Jeep. Main reason for this is my daughter and I take some long road trips (last summer was 2 1/2 weeks about 5500 miles up to Maine). A 2 door soft top is not ideal for these trips, but if I had a 4 door hard top I could use that for the road trip and look at hitting some trails along our travels.
Trail rash are badges of honor! I love to explore. I can't say I don't like some rock crawling, but I really like getting to out of the way places to see the sights. These Jeeps are awesome enablers.Me too. The sugar sand is challenging but not the "turn over and flip 20 times as you roll down a hill and rocks fall on top of you" kind of wheeling. Will see what happens already have the 2 door rubi, I know she want a gps so its either the Sahara or Rubi if we do it.Go the way I did, 4 dr Sahara and 2 dr Rubicon. Use the one I need for the situation.
Ya the Highlander has about 135k on it in about 7 years, been a good vehical but she really likes my Q5 so maybe she will just take over that and I will end up with 2 Jeeps. Although she drove mine today for really the first time and started commending about driving it more. Hopefully I don't loose access to the 2 door.I would love it if I could get the wife to trade her Rav4 in on a 4 door auto. Best of both worlds!
But she loves that Toyota as much as her first one she kept for 16 years. Only put 104k on the first one. Great little people hauler really.
Yeah my oldest gets his DL this FEB. He keeps sending me ads for BMW's . he's in for a rude awakening .My seats go in an out depending on kids/dogs or if I need truck mode. My kids all drive now, so other than my horror of the insurance, and your terror of first year drivers my taxi time is over!
Those are not scratches, they are “Florida pinstripes” and should be worn proudlyMe too. Its insane, I just added 2 kids and it skyrocketed. I had to go down and wittle it down. I kept an old car for kids to drive atleast. My oldest just got his license last week. My insurance premium DOUBLED.

Same here. We kept our 2004 Honda Odyssey. What’s cooler than that for a high schooler?! :cwl:Its insane, I just added 2 kids and it skyrocketed. I had to go down and wittle it down. I kept an old car for kids to drive atleast.
