I tested mine today too. Doors open, tail gate open and Stormie still goes backwards and forwards. Looks like an auto trans deal.
So, does this make it impossible for those with the Auto transmission to run door-less without using a Flashcal or Tazer?
Not at all. When you take the doors off, you'll disconnect the door wires and your Jeep will know your doors are off but won't think that your doors are open.

Could this be the Auto Park? If you have your door open and do not hav the seatbelt on then the jeep will engage auto park. I can have door open with seatbelt on or door closed with seatbelt off and i can stll move my jeep. I also have the automatic transmission. I think there is one other thing that will engage the auto park but i can't think of it now.

Dealer did the standard quote "8 to 12 weeks" but with the steel bumper restriction he thinks it would be more toward the 12 weeks. That is fine with us since we'll be on an extended trip returning December 23. Hopefully we will be able to pick it up December 24 - Merry Christmas!
