I'm trying to understand your questions here. Are you asking about the factory installed premium soft top or just about the regular? I have the PST and love it! Makes the Jeep quieter than my previous hard tops.

I have the premium hard top. I want to purchase a soft top, but factory ones are not yet available for sale. So I am looking at Quadratec site, Mopar has 2 soft tops for 2 door JLs. Seems rhe only difference between the 1700$ One and the 2200$ is the type of cloth; design seems identical.

I think I heard that the frames for the tops are also different. From what I read. The standard top uses springs, where as the premium top uses struts. Not sure if the premium soft top could be used on a standard top frame though.

I got ya. Check what @Redneck_Jedi just said above. If that's true, that would make the premium top also a bit fancier in the frame too. I wish I could help more. I can only speak to what I have and it's very nice.

Thank you, both. I will likely wait a bit to see what else develops. I’m not convinced the dealers themselves know all the details.

I was going to get the picture of my Jeep at 1941 miles, but missed it on the drive up 285 to Buena Vista.

I only just noticed, yesterday, that it says “since 1941” in the transfer case display during boot up.

Hopefully you've noticed the jeep driving across the bottom of the center display too?

My jeep was built last night! KZ status at midnight on the nose. Stella is born! It's 560miles away from me....I wish I could just go get it myself.

Fun fact....Jeeps are made in Toledo, next to an Ottawa River. I live in Ottawa, Ontario (the capital of Canada), which is on a much bigger Ottawa River. And I live next to the river.

If I had gotten the hard top, I would have just gotten a good sun shade. Switching tops looks to be a giant pia.
