I love the old Jeeps as well, but I also love all the modern technology and mechanical advances. If I were to have a classic car it would be a resto mod for sure. Imagine going beck to crank windows, and no power brakes or steering. The JL is the best yet as far as I am concerned and wouldn't trade it for anything!
JL sport has crank windows, I wanted that upgrade, but sadly the crank catches on my knee, its not drivable for tall people

No, and I have a cousin who got paralyzed for life on a 3 wheeler scouting out for the next day deer hunt. (before they switched to 4 wheels)

I will add tube doors and rocks sliders to protect my side. I would add a photon torpedo bank or 2 if I could.
Don't know about photon torpedo banks, but definitely phasers and deflectors... Phasers on maximum leave no evidence... Deflectors would be good for driving through the leftist protesters that think they can block streets. And if the deflectors would deflect bird shit from coming in the roof of the vehicle, I might even try taking my roof off once in awhile. :)

I usually throw out everything that isn't first class. I did get something from Jeep though.
If it is marked "pre-sorted mail", it hits the recycle bin.

My mailman has no problem delivering all the junk mail, but the actual real mail is often either missing or put in the wrong mailbox. Sometimes the neighbors redirect it back to you, but I suspect most just toss it in the trash if it is not addressed to them. If someone wants to send me communications, the only reliable method is email. UPS and FedEx isn't good unless I'm expecting it since I never use my front door plus I might be away from home / out of the country a month or so at a time.

I noticed that on the JK 2-door model that I test drove. I don't remember whether it happened on the JL 2-door model that I test drove though. If it is a problem, I'm hoping that it is just a simple matter or removing the crank handle and reindexing it a few degrees so that it will be out of the way.

Having the garage that I have used for my late XJ install them along with the Rubicon Rails. The cost/rent of buying the tools, the fact that I know they under-changed me for the repairs on my old rig while waiting for my current jeep, and the fact they never over-change me and never do unnecessary work. The owner quoted me for 2 hours of labor for installing both together. :like:
From what I can tell, the only thing you need to install them is a ratchet, socket, and maybe a short extension and a torque wrench. Nothing that a guy shouldn't already have in their garage / workshop already. Sure, an air wrench makes it quicker, but we're only talking about 2 bolts on each side, so it's not going to take that long even if you are using a normal ratchet. Hell, it's easier to do than changing a tire.

Sorry for your wrong deliveries. I am a (soon to be retired) mail carrier in a rural area and make an occasional but rare mis-delivery. I always rip the junk in half and recycle it as you do. Unfortunately the USPS makes a lot of $ with the junk mail which gives me a pay check. However sometimes I put a stamp on it, cross off the bar code and send it back with a message stating not to send any more crap to my address, as if they care. I have all grass in my front lawn and a stone walkway to my back door yet Fed Ex leaves stuff at my front door too for what reason I don't know. UPS puts things in the garage like most thinking people would do.One time I nearly threw out a check, so the key thing is check who it is from.

G’morning Fred! :)
My mom is a retired mail carrier! I know all about the junk mail profits & say the same thing when people I know complain about it...it’s paying salaries & keeping the USPS going.

Good Morning Lydia! I always try to tell myself there is so much more than meets the eye with things. All the junk mail and flyers that no one wants also provide jobs. Someone makes the paper, delivers it, makes the ink, the ink containers etc. all the way to the people in the recycling business who drive the trucks, work in the recycling plants and so on. Our local garage is making a lot of money keeping our mail trucks running as well as we are always breaking down and getting flat tires! Some days it is amazing how much we do and easy to complain about it but.... it pays the bills and buys Jeeps! Enjoy your coffee and have an awesome Sunday!

Bird shit cleans up. Don't let that stop you from one of the joys of owning a Jeep.

For the drivers side yes. Passenger side sucked and whoever used red loctite is a horrible human being. It will take longer than changing a tire.
