2 DOOR JL build/order discussions master thread

Ok, help me understand this. Beginning of the week Jeep chat says we are in D1 status. Today Cryptostickers sent a "build sheet found" email. I contacted jeep chat and this is what I got back:

Thank you for waiting Steve and I apologize for the wait. Your order has been built, and I do see that the Jeep is in the ship phase currently, but at this time I do not see a current ETA window for when the Wrangler will be arriving at the dealer. We do ship our Jeep's out in lots, so it could be that the order is currently waiting for a full load of vehicles to all be heading to the same area before the ETA is finalized. I would suggest allowing a week to pass then contact us back for an update, but we are available 247/ if you would like to contact back sooner.

So am I to believe that it is built now???????

Yes, It only took my Jeep less than a day to go from D1 to KZ. Then it sat waiting to be delivered.

More of a watcher than poster but finally got my rubi after 5 month wait last Wednesday. So far everything is great. New soft top is different but getting used to it. Only one in Harrisburg Pa area.

Taking it to All Breeds Jeep show this weekend in York to do the obstacle course.

Is that lifted? It looks lifted. BTW, I think I'm in Love!

I'm going to have to call bullshit on this. I guess this may be the case for some but not all. My Rubicon was sent to an offsite storage lot for over a month, all while my local dealer received 4 separate JL/JLU deliveries.

After I went KZ I was calling/looking daily, on July 9th (ordered 19 April) both Jeep chat AND my dealer both told me no updates, still in Toledo waiting for shipping. Then at 3:00ish that afternoon dealer called and said Jeep was just dropped off at his dealership! Went in that day to drive it and had it delivered the following day (Friday).

Just shows you that no one seems to know whats happening in regards to tracking these JL's. Keep your chin up, maybe you will follow my footsteps and it's already in transit, maybe it shows up prior to the weekend for you

Good luck and enjoy your new ride, after driving a 2 door JK for 9 years as a DD this JL is in a totally different class................way better in every way!

We are traveling for the next week so with our luck it will show up. We ordered May 9th, so seems on track with you. The dealer has been less than helpful with status.

Has anyone got ahold of some good seat covers yet like an exact fit.

Bar Pact 951 319 4008. should be exact fit they've had my jeep since i got back from the Rubicon trail, using our JL for the template in making them. i get free seat covers too woohoo. i guess the 2 doors seats are a lil different to the 4 doors. not only the release latch, he says they were way more different than he suspected and they wont be done with the front seats till tomorrow and we will drop off the backseat when we pick it up from them so should be available really soon. my girls been running hers on the JK over a year and they still look amazing (we have gone thru many brands of seat covers and the only to compare to these in lasting were the "wet okle" but they are pricey. also a plus with the Bar Pacts is that the dog hair does not weave into the fabric and is very easy to remove.

What kind of deals are you guys getting on 2 doors? Dealer offered me 500 below invoice pricing which seems decent. I think ive seen a few places offering 5% below invoice but seems like you'd have to place a custom order with them. There arent really any other jeeps nearby that fit my specifications any better and the dealer said they can deal better with 4 doors but due to limited supply the 2 doors are selling fast and they wont discount anymore. Sound right to you guys? The jeep is still in transit so im not signing anything until I can look at it in person anyway.

Yeah mine is under the hard top so when I take the panels or the whole roof off I still have some shade. I got caught out on a major highway here due to a wreck and roasted between exits before I could get off and start moving again. I ordered it that day

I order my JL Rubicon on April 14, 2018. Jeep Cares told me two weeks ago that it was on a rail car. I txted them yesterday (7/18/18) asking them where it is. All they said is that an ETA hasn't been assigned yet. This coming Saturday it will be 14 weeks since I submitted the order. What is going on I see other people commenting that they have their JL's in a way shorter time frame.

Unfortunately 14 weeks is not unusual. Many of us have waited 20+ weeks. Having said that I agree others who have ordered April, may, and even June have received theirs.
I don’t know if jeep cares is reliable. Honestly, I signed up for JG, and followed my progress that way. It was more reliable imo.
Hopefully yours is on the way, won’t take much longer!

I want to get neoprene covers. I am looking at this one, as it has good reviews, and have styles I like.
Be careful in ensuring it is exact match to your jl, I had to return a set from elsewhere, since they didn’t actually have jl covers.
