So no holes drilled? I've looked at that spot for a Uniden 510 and it looked like I would have a problem moving the seat forward to get in the back. Any special ju ju to make it work or what were your observations?
We observed that the back seat was removed and thus that issue lol we did think of using velcro instead of screws so if it did come forward and hit the radio it would just knock it off. And the uniden needs no grounding at the bracket so you could pull that off i think. We are leaving on Friday for a 10 day run so i am a bit pressed for time and options. We sat in the jeep for almost 2 hours trying to figure where we could install a cb.

Well to be fair, I've been up with some prep pieces myself:
I ordered an Ocean Blue 2 door soft top. I had the HARDEST time deciding between black or tan interior. I went black, but I think I could still change it... that's the first picture of a tan interior with blue I've seen.
Got some pictures from the dealer today.
Still looking like I am the 1st 2-door with a Premium Soft Top delivered within 150 miles of Minneapolis.

10-4, I have looked around inside for a similar length of time, and like in your video I've tried placing the CB everywhere. I've even looked behind the seat, and in the center console. I took a work rig out, Toyota 4 Runner, that had the CB mounted "professionally" in the center console and it did transmit and I could hear the speaker but it took up a lot of that little space. A FM radio head was in there also so even less room for anything else.
My chick ran the Cobra 75 and was disappointed, replaced it with a Cobra 29. Im from the old days and ran a 148 gtl when they were still made here, but wouldnt buy one now. Of all the reviews i read, the uniden won out for its intended purpose. To talk to your trailmates while on the trail. It doesnt have any bells n whistles though. from all i read its tough as nails. i wanted to go with the 75 too, but she wouldnt let me lol
