Well there you go
the 2 door really is an afterthought to fca at this point. Thanks soccer moms!Yeah i heard late August/ early September. Maybe they will have real improvements to the bowing problem instead of just an $11 plastic spring pad. Also, what the hell was Mopar on about when they said all after market parts were going to be available right at launch? They said this when the JL debuted in November. September is nearly a whole year after than they claimed they'd be ready.
I'm convinced that the 2 door exists for two reasons these days:the 2 door really is an afterthought to fca at this point. Thanks soccer moms!
My god daughter and her family live in Windermere. Maybe we can all have a reunion to compare notes!I thought that might be you. I'm the last one on the same list. My dad wanted to do it, so he put his name in! Lol!
The Turbo has been delayed for an unspecified amount of time. Came out last week, you will be going back to D status shortlyOrdered 2 door, white, soft top, Rubicon with the 4 CYL. TURBO have the VIN# and am at stage D1 - hoping for delivery by end of July as turbos may be delayed....
Not sure of the actual percentage of manual vs. auto transmissions. All I can say is that I would not have ordered anything other than a manual.I'm convinced that the 2 door exists for two reasons these days:
1-Bring the "starting msrp" advertisement figure to an unrealistic $27,495, because who's gonna buy a Wrangler without A/C??? And how many buyers want an M/T these days?
2-Use 2 doors in advertisements to sell the Jeep idea, experience, and heritage of the 2 door........ so that people will walk into the showrooms and buy the 4 door, because they're pathetic and always pretend they really need 4 doors and a sensible cargo area in what's often their third vehicle.
I'm practically expecting it. Hooray aluminium.Hey 2 Door Folks-just curious...has anyone that has taken delivery noticed the doors-dents issue reported on this thread and others?:

Edit: As I was walking through the parking lot after work, yesterday, I paid close attention to my hinges upon my approach to see if I could notice the "dents." My opinion remains unchanged.Y'all are anal as hell. Would never notice, do not care.![]()

If you want, ask your dealer to check for an estimated ship date that come with D1 statuses. I had to do that b/c Jeep didn't provide it. The dealer forwarded me screen shot of the D1 status and right next to it was the est. ship date.Ordered 2 door, white, soft top, Rubicon with the 4 CYL. TURBO have the VIN# and am at stage D1 - hoping for delivery by end of July as turbos may be delayed....
