Phew - that's pretty disheartening. My attention span is measured in minutes so waiting months for a car is very very painful. I hope you all get your Jeeps soon
MONTHS !! Be glad you didn't order Dec. or Jan. ;) :giggle:

Whole lotta red! Going to get it wrapped?

I wasn't going to, but I know it's going to get all scratched up when I go out to play.
I won't. I'm more like a soccer mom and not really the off-road type. I just like having the ability. My winch and my winch guard are in at the dealership. My bug shield is still on backorder. But, I'll get the most important parts installed before I take delivery. Again, my winch s for looks. I can't imagine actually using it. But, I'll have to turn it on and off at least once...

Well, had lunch with my dealer today. He said my Jeep has made it to the railyard in Birmingham, AL today. Still needs to be offloaded, but it's just a short truck transport to me. We will see how long it takes to make it down here. Fingers crossed...

You'd be surprised. A winch comes in very handy. I've helped many stranded cars and trucks out of the snow and pulled my pesky bushes out by the roots.

My Subaru had a full leading edge wrap and the paint under the wrap kept very well with no fading after 10 years. Now it didn't do much for hail but Colorado has a lot of sand and rocks to chip away your paint. It's not just off roading that a wrap will protect you from.

That said, I think I'll spend the money on camping gear instead and hope the chips don't get too bad.

Hey everyone,
Future Jeep owners here...

We just ordered our 2D Rubicon and couldn't be more excited. I'm not a car-guy so keep that in mind-- my background is more in remodels and additions. We've modded-out every house we've owned and now it's time to learn some new skills. So far I've been reading and watching everything out there on the JL and look forward to learning a ton from you all!

Put in our order 6/7. The POC shows 6/26 estimated ship. That doesn't seem realistic since I'm expecting more like 8 weeks, hopefully in time for a road trip in September. Here's hoping everyone's baby comes in, especially those of you who have been waiting so long. 6 months from when they opened the ordering? Maybe the wait will make it that much more awesome when they come in? If that's even possible. :)

Good luck!
The 2drs seem to be taking a little longer although we have seen a few recent orders that were delivered really quick. I hope you are one of those quick ones. My timeline is in my signature. I'm sure you wait won't be as long as mine or others, but at least it's more accurate than anything Jeep will tell you.

Some that are asking about what Jeep is offering to those with such long
wait it is true . There are 2 plans. I chose the Appearance Plan as I will
not be doing much off the road. I received the paperwork from Mopar
in yesterdays mail. It is for what they state. Your Dealer has been notified.
It is for 3 Years. You can transfer this for $50.00 if you sell before the
3 Years end.
Sweetwater, they offered that to you for your tenaciousness, as I recall. Did something change? Are you sure they are offering this across the board? I've never called FCA, but now I may have to break that vow...

I love hearing about and seeing people take delivery of their 2 doors. I just had my first open top run today and it was AWESOME. It is therapeutic for me to feel the sun and wind
