Trying not to get too excited, especially since it’s Jeep chat, but it’s supposedly being built as I type...

Tax is 7.5%, had to give a 5k non refundable down payment.

Edit: I just looked at your attachment. Dude, cancel and go elsewhere. No one is paying MSRP, and they tacked on a bunch of horseshit to add insult.

Hmm... I’m 47k all-in for a nearly identical build (except I got more options), so 50k is not a great deal. What’s your state’s tax rate?

My build:

6sp Manual, Black PST, Black Leather, Black Fenders, LED, Tow, Cold Weather, Proximity, Safety, Steel, Polished Lip, Infotainment, Rubber Mats

If you don’t have affiliate pricing through your employer, sign up for Tread Lightly to get it. 1% below invoice. Dealer gets paid by FCA, so they’re happy. You don’t have to negotiate, so you’re happy. Win-win.

Many have negotiated 5% under invoice, but that is highly dependent on where you live (or how far you’re willing to travel).

Well, at least my order was before your ā€œrevisedā€ order, though I’m sure that doesn’t help...

Wow, that is unfortunate for you. Ther are two dealers in Florida offering like 3-4 percent below invoice. They also have some crazy high BS dealer fee but nothing on the level you have shown here.

Well, don't let this tarnish your excitement for your new Wrangler. If you can afford it, it will be well worth it to you. It looks like a great build and you will love it.

At least they let me put the 5k down payment on my credit card that gives me 2% cashback rewards. So I get 100 bucks back

I just ordered my 2018 2 door Rubicon today. Granite crystal gray, premium soft top, manual transmission, leather seats, infotainment system, safety group, led lighting, tow group. After taxes and fees 50k. Did I get ripped off? Still excited to get it even though it looks like it will be a while

What is theft guard and key replacement? Gosh, no discount? I agree with the other coments. I would shop around for a decent discount. I don’t think I got a fantastic deal, but got a 2300$ discount for my Rubi order. Close but not fully 5%.

You are absolutely correct. Nobody really knows. . . . . . . ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ . . . . . that can talk about it.

There is a case to be made that FCA, Jeep is totally paranoid. They don't want anybody ( their competition, suppliers, or dealers ) to know what is exactly going on in the plant. I can see how that information can mean money to them, so any confusion they can sow can save or make them money.

Notice that Jeep buyers like you and me are not in that list above. We are not Jeep customers, it is the Dealerships and Government buyers that are their customers. We are dealership customers - - yeah important, but . . . . .

Eventually, we will get our Schrƶdinger's Jeeps, and then we will quit bothering them.

However you can count me as an optimist, I think you may have talked to someone who was honest AND had the right information. You will probably get your Jeep, long before I do.

I am supposed to get tread lightly discount, but my dealer required non refundable 4K down and lied saying it was required by FCA. I called him out saying I didn’t think that was true and said I knew of numerous people only paying 500. He got all offended... I ponied up because I would be paying at least that down anyways. But man I’ve regretted it ever since. Jeep is FINALLY almost here and I think I’m going to get ulcers worried about what crap he might pull for final transaction.

They said key replacement was for anytime you lose your key they will send you a replacement at no cost, the theft guard is incase is stolen and not recovered within certain days they will give you 5k. I asked if I can remove that and they said it is mandatory on all vehicles which I never heard of.
