Brian, I’m calling Kim tomorrow, wonder if I can get your JL re-routed to me in Hawaii? I’m from Fayetteville originally, and have a Rubi, manual, PST on order. With the PST, I am tired of waiting and ordered 2/10/18.
Even considered buying one off Kim’s lot and shipping out to island, even a 4 door at this point. So frustrating. Go Hogs, Aloha.

It would look good on the Hawaiian islands! Aloha.

can one of you 2 door deliverees see if your frame has rust or shit welds? I'm curious if it's been addressed by now with these well-into-2018 builds. Thanks!
It's not a two door but I crawled under a Sahara yesterday and found this. I looked it over very well and this was the only pit I found by the entirety of the welds had rust.

Hi all! I’ve been reading and watching those JL forums for a while, but this is my very first post... Officially pledging my allegiance to the 2-door!
Question: has anybody been able to get a quote on a lease? My salesperson says she can’t run it because the 2-doors aren’t in stock yet. But hey, I’ve waited that long to order, I guess I can wait a while longer...

I think I might have ordered a different top if I knew my PST would hold up my build this long. I think it would be easy to sell a hard top and make enough for a PST later....
but hey gotta love the communication.
Even if you had not ordered the PST, you probably would not have it yet - just a few showing up now.

I originally ordered mid-January. A 2Door Sport S. I finally saw where I could get a Turbo, for about the same wait. So, I upgraded. So far as I can tell, there is a Sport coming to New Mexico, but, with mine now in D1 and the line cranking them out and building up to full capacity, it may only be a week or two ahead of mine.

Lesson: Go for what you really want - don’t compromise.

Yes, if you really know what you need and want, you are screwed. But the satisfaction in the end more than compensates.

Worth the watch. I was surprised that the headrests on the back seats would fold all the way down. That would be great, but I think that was because it was a pre-production model. 2Door Manual, says no.

I think it's commonly missed detail the 2 door rear seat headrests fold. But all the photos released by FCA suggest this. I presume the two straps releases the headrest to fold forward.

The leather seats look great. I am just going to wait for my Jeep to see if the rear headrests fold all the way down. I will work out, whichever it is.

Got my 2dr Rubi today. The headrests on the back seat fold down. The straps at the top corners release them. Very slick feature. Not just for folding the seat but for added visibility.

If you think the PST is holding you up, and you're willing to change, why not have your dealer change your order to hard top?

I would have gone with steel bumpers if I had it to do over. That said, the plastic numbers look good ... just ... plastic

Just another data point--I ordered back in early March. I knew mine had been built because I got a notification last week from the cryptosticker service that my build sheet and sticker were available, but nothing showed up on jeep.com about it being in transit. Then today my dealer called and said it was in. Picked it up a few hours ago...

How about 12/23/17. Merry Christmas. :time:
Hey OldguyNewJeep, we are in the same boat. What is up with everyone taking delivery of similar builds who ordered after us while we are stuck in D1 Hell?

This could be encouraging. Jeep.com has been showing just a 2 door sport in transit, at 96 miles, for a week or more. I’m hoping that there are more.
