I ordered on 1/24 as well. Bare bones Sport, manual, added A/C and slip rear differential. Still in D purgatory.

Who's getting yellow May 7?

I would love to get Hella Yella, most of my Jeeps have been yellow. I talked to my dealer, he said it will be approx availablity of end of May beginning of June. So I'm torn on waiting longer for the yella or stick with blue and get it sooner.

I spoke to the girl on that new contact page posted today. She said it's
on the carrier to be delivered today or tomorrow. Seems correct as
yesterday it was released from factory. Now my excitement is beginning !!

Called the number. Got a case number. Very nice Canadian woman told me that I am in D1. Escalated me because my order is over 45 days old. All that means is that I am supposed to get emails with every stage change. She said that their entire process changed since Monday because of the number of people that were upset about the lack of communications. She even listed off all of the reasons for delay and told me that ANY ETA prior to KZ is simply false 100% of the time and no one should give those out. Overall, she provided information and was kind. Time will tell.

I hear ya, I almost bought a taco in a moment of weakness.

I had to look at alternatives, and the sea of same ole same ole 4x4 4 door trucks or one size fits all awd crossovers to get scared straight and get back to waiting for my JL.

This is in line with what I was told on the 866 number. She said that demand was 3x what they planned and that they were overwhelmed and simply dropped the ball.

I could swear many on this forum have speculated this exact thing in various posts, which now appears "confirmed!" I have emails to my dealer, Dennis Dillon, stating this theory on Monday of this week in which I say "always follow the money as it is the simplest explanation - FCA/FCK charges $3,500 extra to add two tiny doors and a back seat, so they have screwed us 2dr folk for profit." I am angry because I detest being treated like a fool, and it seems that I am indeed.

I repeat, #IHATEFCA.

You are right, but I need to quit focusing on the lost road trip fun and a missed Jeep Jamboree with my daughter in May. It is such a downer. Now the SUMMER road trip has to happen and it will be a grind with tourist everywhere and sweltering temps. My fault for trying to do the Boise to Austin thing.
