If the body issue is true that's fine. Every mass production item has issues at some point. I'd rather wait and get the most refined item possible. The only real problem I have is the lack of communication. FCA should post here and tell us what's up.

I reached out to the owner of my Jeep dealer. I’ve known him 20 years, a straight shooter. His FCA reps say this is ā€œrubbishā€. I acknowledge FCA should communicate better, an understatement, but rumors seem to develop a life of their own here on the inter web. Ordered JL Rubicon, Granite, 3.6L/8speed, hardtop, most options...12/13/17
i agree! i also heard that toledo plant is haunted, so people aren’t showing up for work

Alexander has disconnected.
Dont get your hopes up buddy. That guy obviously has no clue whats happening with 2 doors, but im not surprised, they're all useless. I called at about 30 days at which point they gave me some lame excuse and said they didnt have more info but it should be soon. A week later i called and the guy tells me but youve only been in D for 3 days you shouldnt be worried already. I tell him that last week when I called i was in D for 30 days, now im in D for 3 days and shouldnt worry? He says he can only tell me what he's seeing on his system, and what he is seeing is that ive only been in D for 3 days.

Like most around here im quite shocked at the Jeep customer service experience. This car better be worth it.

I see you are in NY. Was that pic taken in NY? I'm in NJ and would love to take a ride in my Jeep to see some scenery like that.
This picture is from the Ouray area in Colorado probably near Engineer pass.

Months ago no one could convince me that blowing $46k on an overrated Jeep was a bad idea. Unlike most we the love the Wrangler no matter how shitty the engine is, how loud it is or how bumpy it is, etc. I never would have thought I would be reconsidering my purchase and I definitely would not have guessed that FCA would be the one to convince me otherwise. I was begging for them to take my money and it seems like they are doing everything they can to talk me out of it. The delays, the lack of communication, and also taking away the offroad pages.

The latest word is that the offroad pages will come back via an update later this year.

But I agree about the delay -- the lack of info from FCA has been pretty abysmal.

I feel exactly the same way but there is nothing out there that I want instead. I just want my Jeep when the weather in New England changes over to spring/summer. I hope my deal stays the same, I hope my cold weather package stays the same, I hope I get my offroad pages and I hope that they get their shit together with whatever the reason is for the delay. #noquickwarrantyissues

I feel the same way. There is no substitute. Luckily for me it's a second vehicle so the delay while unfortunate isn't really hurting me. I feel bad for people waiting for their new daily driver.

Well I called my salesman today , took a few hours for him to get back to me , which I don't mind cause he didn't give me some bs answer . told me when he checked the system he saw my order had not even started production yet. so he called jeep and was told what we all already know 2drs are not in production yet. also confirmed what we all already know jeep is pushing out the 4drs hard , because that's where the demand from the dealers is. jeep told him 2 drs will start next week or the week after. jeep told him I should still get my jeep with in 6-8 weeks , its been 4 so far so we will see.

I know a lot of people are upset right now about delays and lack of communication but I bet once your dealer calls and says your Jeep is ready you will forget all about these delays.

Stoowie, he reiterated what he told me a week ago as per FCA ā€œteleconferenceā€. April 9th, 2 door production starts, with 4cyl. turbos leading off. That’s inexplainable to me. A pm to ā€œJeep Caresā€ asking for confirmation of this, crickets..............
Am I missing something? Jeep build still doesn’t have the turbo available. Explain to me why the turbo would be the first 2 door configuration to be built? This reads like another uninformed rep with incorrect info from the inept halfwitts at FCA.

Don’t count on it. Assuming production starts in April, there will be a 5 month backlog of 2dr orders to address. Even if you are lucky enough to be near the front of the line, I’d wager there will be at least a two week quality hold on the initial production. All manufacturers keep new models on the lot for a period of time when introduced while they do the necessary quality checks to ensure there are no systemic problems. If problems are found, the hold is even longer.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if any customer takes delivery of a 2dr before May, assuming there are no further delays.
