Took a little road trip up Mt Greylock, the highest mountain in MA at 4391' MSL with an 8 mile road to the top. I have to say the automatic transmission has come a long way from when I last drove a TJ with one. It is like you are driving a standard, as it always is in the right gear. The TJ used to always want to be in a higher gear so when going up a hill you had to really get into the gas to get it to downshift, and as soon as you let up it went back to a higher gear and you immediately started slowing up again. No gear searching at all in the JL, it is so awesome! And going downhill it downshifts itself as well, keeping your speed without needing much braking. Gas mileage seems to have leveled out to a solid 21. Not bad for a Rubi with the 410 gears. Not one complaint. I did get the cruise control recall work completed at a local dealer and was done in about half an hour, no big deal.

Everyone... Meet Stormie!!!
I picked her up today and she lived up to her name since I had to drive her home in a good rain storm!
But she's home and all safe and sound! Tomorrow we go play!!! :)
Here are a few shots from my phone. Better ones will soon follow!
Oh, and my tires were inflated to a little over 40 psi, so I deflated them to 36 before I left the lot and she drove like a dream. Funny thing, I've been driving standard transmissions all my life (never owned a mt) and I stalled her TWICE!!! Lol! But I think I've got the hang of her gears now.
The stereo system in the base Sport is incredible. Sounds great!
My dealer added the rubber Mopar mats as a gift for being so late, gave us 50% off of the tubular step bar and even offered to tint the front windows for me if I wanted! (I didn't.)
So 154 days (5 months & 4 days) later, my wait is over. Now I need to find something else to complain about! Lol! :cwl: :jk::flag:

Looks like someone’s going to be sweating buckets in this bs heat & humidity to get Vida’s doors back on today. Last night was her first time being in the nursery & HMFN she sure isn’t staying in there until it is thoroughly cleaned!!!! I can’t even imagine what’s already hiding inside of her. :brokenhearted::crying: 24E65C4E-D308-47F2-A338-AC8143A4FB80.jpeg
She has a roof over her head, good shoes and is properly fed and gets plenty of exercise. Tomorrow will be a cooler day, good for cleaning the nursery. She has a good life!

Congrats!! She looks great!! I can't wait to see more pics of her. After you've driven her a while, I'd also like to hear your thoughts on the base stereo and standard top.
The stereo is great as far as standard stereos go. Good sound. The 8 speakers put out plenty of volume and bass. The phone sounds great too when using Bluetooth. I called my folks and they said it sounded good on their end as well.
The standard top is easy-peasy to drop and put back up! Annnnnd... I drove about 70+ miles an hour going home and it wasn't "loud" at all. Of course, it wasn't as quiet as a car, but for a Jeep, it is totally livable. You will have no need to yell at your passengers!
If you have any more questions about the base Sport trim, just let me know.
Oh, and I was told we can roll up the back window! It even has snaps for it!

Bat shit crazyness happening..... I changed my order one week after I placed my original so April 9th and 16th respectively and as of this morning I was still KZ according to all (dealer, Jeep chat...) as I’ve been checking daily since KZ

Just got home and have a message from my dealer that Both Jeep’s we’re deleivered TODAYto his lot!

Not complaining as I can’t wait to get down there and check them out to start the process!!!

Here's something everyone may need to check into:
My Jeep is just the base model Sport, but yet it still came with this nice pouch and the fat User Manual and thin User Guide. Now it may just be my dealer making sure I got these, but since many of you didn't, you might just inquire about it.
