Always remember it's not your dealers fault but JEEP !
Reality is the dealership can botch things and cause a longer period of time for your Jeep to arrive. On the other hand a dealer can speed the process up if they want to .... if they want to do the leg work.

Yes, once the order is actually placed with FCA, and assuming the order was done correctly, then it's not necessarily the dealers fault for the prolonged waiting time for your Jeep to be build and delivered.

I have no real issue with my dealer, the only thing that bugged me was I had asked if swapping to a hard top would speed stuff up and he said he couldn't do it.

But no, the delays aren't his fault or the people at the hotline. I will say they have all been extremely nice with one even telling me happy mother's day ( I'm a guy ) but she was also the one who lied to me and said I was in D1 when I wasn't. I imagine they aren't to fond of telling dates in case they get it wrong as that would make me even more mad.

I'm trying to stay positive and my dealership has 2 in transit with 1 in Denver, I'm in Colorado Springs. Hopefully I'll be able to look through one before the owner shows up. I've gotten my loan and plans for all my immediate mods, but I can't decide if I want to wait to break in the engine first or not.

I sure would like to know when they will consider the launch phase "complete" though, it feels like they fall on that excuse a little to much. I mean, it's been over 5 months now...

Thanks all for temp info. I will fix it tomorrow. This Rubicon JL must have 100
buttons!! I remember back in '68 the only buttons were the horn button and
door locks. And Temp.

control slid right and left like heat and defrost. Fresh air was great pull knobs on both
sides by your knees. OH yes and if you wanted lotsa air you had wing vents. Lights
just pull knob wipers twist knob. Storage was GREAT a trunk for all your tools
and could fit 2 people to sneek into Drive-in movie. Last was the hood you could pop
the hood up and see an engine!!! Even the spark plugs !! AHHH good ole days.

I don't know what stage your in now. I ordered 1-11-18 and added 3 options
in mid March. Call and email your dealer and TELL him to call his Rep to change
to a hardtop. Don't ever cancel as you only hurt yourself not the dealer or Jeep.

2 doors within 150 miles of Raleigh up from 16 to 17 today. Most in transit. A couple on lots. Even saw some PST builds. So who said 2 door PST's would not be available until October? They are definitely in production!

Ordered 1/6, 142 days ago, been waiting 5 months now. Simple build. 2 dr Hard top 3.6 auto, Granite. If FCA is telling consumers that they will be "built in the order received" that is total bs. I stopped counting after 200 2dr builds were delivered or in transit that were ordered weeks and months after my order date. That is not counting JLU's. FCA has a real management problem.

Our Jeep Wrangler Sport is at the Dealer, it arrived yesterday, and we will be talking tomorrow (Tuesday) to make arrangements about when it will be available for pick up. It is really strange to be on the actual verge of purchasing the rig, rather than looking at them in 4 Wheeler, Peterson's, or thinking about it from as long ago as the "Rat Patrol" days. I tell my co-workers a years subscription to a magazine is much less than even one fill up, now at $2.39 a gallon, regular, but I don't think it will be as much fun.

This being Memorial Day it had be thinking back to Jeep wisdom imparted, "if you are going to get a Jeep you have got to be able to weld". Hopefully I won't need to apply that skill right away but did build a dirt every day track in the back yard (field) and am looking forward to giving it a try.

I had a similar issue when I wanted to remove the PST. My dealer eventually did it, but not without telling me first that it couldn't be done, and then when it was, what a hassle for him it was. I went D1 right after the change.

After ours was built, things happened quite fast, was a little over 2 weeks to the dealer, keep your hopes up.

Currently trying to figure out which dealer to go with in the SLC area. Many of them have absolutely horrendous customer review average scores. Id don't wanna buy from crooks that won't stand behind the thing for warranty work. There's a dealer with a good reputation 30 miles away, and maybe that potential hassle is worth it.

And I can’t navigate it much anyway... I’m pretty lame with that.

Go to the site, get on the page and then press Control F That is the FIND function for browser pages - you can then enter your member name or whatever and it will search and find it. Much better than scrolling for hundreds of entries .
