Chatted today as well and I am back in "C" status. Ordered 1/22. Same as ZGN, I am waiting on the JL as my new DD and waiting to buy. Doubt I'll wait much longer. Chevy truck month in March at some OKC dealers and will probably go with new LTZ Z71 and never look back at Jeep again.

Yes, but if the 2019 JLs end up being announced before the 2-Door 18's roll out, are they going to start building the 19's as well and put those ahead of some of our 2-door orders?

Dealer told me today my Jeep upgraded to C

You have a 2 dr upgraded to C and someone on here was told no 2dr until April ... this is crazy

Heard the delay news, can't say I'm thrilled either. I actually just shopped for a Tacoma (would be my third) earlier today. After seeing this article on Jalopnik though.. I'm taking it as a sign. There is a reason we are all interested in a Jeep; because they kick ass. I'm sticking this out.

2019 order banks open in September and should start rolling off the assembly line in October. I bet we'll know 90% of what 2019 Wranglers have to offer by late July/August.

Haha... actually that's what he told me... he was all excited... then I said that dropped down from D and he just looked at me. The guy is cool and it made me laugh about how excited he was..... I'm wondering if it dropped because I've been in D since beginning Jan and this will reset the date of going into D.

About the time we get our 2 doors there will be a model refresh for the 2019 model year and we will be obsolete before we take delivery!

Not liking this latest news. The lease on my wife's present vehicle is up April 7.
This was about the time the new Wrangler should have arrived 11 weeks after it was ordered.
I stopped in at a different dealer than I ordered from just to nose around. I asked the salesman for a 2 door JL. He said they never get 2 doors because no one wants them, especially with a stick. He then tried to convince me to buy a JK because they're pretty much the same anyway. They have dozens of JKs on the lot I noticed.

Playing the Devil’s advocate - if 2019 JLU production doesn’t start until October, what makes you guys think you’re gonna get a 2 door before, say, February? That’s in a year...

Nope, I’m sticking it out. I’m very unhappy with it taking so long, but good things come to those who wait, right? At least that’s what I’m telling myself...

I also don’t want to be the guinea pig for BSG. More batteries and electronics? No thank you.

I'd rather they were built right rather than rushed. As much as I want it now I'm okay waiting if it means they are refining the process, getting correct stock and taking their time to make sure tolerances are correct and things work as they should .
