The Jeep employee that got to go see his Jeep at the production facility says that there were 2-doors in production, albeit in small numbers. Based on other information received, I think they’ll start arriving by April and production ramped up in March.

haha...I think there is a big disconnect between the customer service reps and the factory.

There’s confirmation that there are 2-doors in production!

Not as customer orders. Every single FCA rep speaking on this subject says 2drs are not in production. It's known that FCA made 900 pre-production JL's offline, for which a large number were 2drs. Many are likely parked at the plant and that could be what's reported. Alternatively, it's quite likely that a very small number of 2dr builds are added to the production line as test runs. That's not the same as production vehicles and would not be customer orders.

In summary, there's no definitive evidence that customer 2drs are in production and 100% of statements coming from FCA on this subject state that these builds have not started. I don't like this news more than anyone else since I'm now 6 weeks in build limbo.

Just Spoke with Jeep Customer Service and they told me that the 2 Doors will not begin production until April
I have a 2 door Rubicon on order and its in the scheduling phase they said.

Thats exactly what i was thinking... Im going to contact my dealer and see if they have any more info but i doubt it.

Obviously, each of us has to decide our tolerance for waiting, or order JL in 2019, and roll the dice again. My order went in 12/13, acknowledgeing Feb. 12 2017 start. Private chat with Jeep Cares stated early March 2 door start, just sayin.

Yeah i saw a few days ago that they were supposed to start Mid March, but i Just got off a chat and I asked them if there were any delays and all they told me was that they wont start production until April, and thats all the info they had... I wish i copied the chat but unfortunately didn't. Jeep isnt being very transparent

I hear you Gary, appreciate the update, not disputing what you were told. I’m on vacation in St. Lucia and WiFi is slow, wife says put down the iPhone. And I’m not whining, JL forum police, just patiently waiting for my new JL cheers!

AGREED - now I will call dealer and see what can be done about postponing order til'Fall.

My fault, I should have just waited for a 2019 knowing FCA would somehow mangle the 2 door launch.
