Just came back from a 300 mile trip with 3 people, 2 dogs and a couple hundred pounds of gear in my JLUR on 315's. averaged 20 on the display. Not complaining!

I have a heavy foot driving interstate and city streets daily in my stock 2020 Sahara. I consistently average 22.8 using regular unleaded, 87 octane. I am putting on Rubi take-off Falken M/T01s, 285/70R17 this weekend. Those weigh 20 more per wheel/tire so it'll be interesting to see how that affects my mileage.

35s, 4.56 gears, Borla S-Type muffler, Mishimoto intake ... getting 19 combined highway and city over multiple tanks of premium fuel ... not bad for a box on wheels

I am thinking the same - cannot believe people are getting 25??? What fuel are you running?
They're not. Go to Fuelly and you will see the average mpg for the 2.0 is 17. One thing I have learned about fuel threads over the years is that they're full of liars, or people that are not good at math. I was hoping this Jeep would pull down 22 on the highway, but I'm not optimistic after seeing those Fuelly numbers.

Below is a pic I took earlier this evening of what my wife is averaging in her JLU Recon 2.0T as a DD to work, about 1/2 highway miles. That 22.6 average mpg is after 400 miles and about 7/8 tank of fuel, after she drove it to work all week long. Based on my occasional manual calculations and comparing it to that screen, it's generally within 0.5 mpg of each other.

I'm getting 21.5 on premium and 22.5 on 87. My own calculations, which are pretty similar to the dash readout. 21 JLUR on stock wheels and KO2's. MPG drops at Chicago area highway speeds (70 mph). Sweet spot for this engine is definitely 40-55. How would I benefit from lying??

I don't see where you said you were getting 25 mpg.

My '20, 2 door Sport S is averaging about 22 - 23 mpg. Lot's of highway driving is keeping the average up, but I had to use it for work for two weeks with strictly city driving and still held around 22.
Took a 700 mile trip to Sedona and back in it - with about 50 miles of that off road - and averaged 25.3 for the whole trip. Not too shabby.

Round trip CT to NJ last weekend and averaged 27.9 with my two door sport. So happy.

He was probably replying to what you said about the average fuel economy for the 2.0 being 17 mpg. Many of us are getting way above that on a daily basis. My wife's 2013 JK 3.6L Sahara used to average 17 mpg. Now she averages around 22 mpg with her 2020 JLU Recon 2.0T on the same roads, same driving habits and it's even a slightly heavier 4 dr vehicle.

They will, as long as it’s non-Rubicon, with stock tires, and kept under 70mph.
I have a Rubicon and the display is often +25 MPG. I live at an elevation of 5,000 ft, which helps.

I get anywhere from 23-28 MPG in my JLU running 87 (I also seafoam once a month) . That's highway on mostly flatish roads (well as flat as a PA road can be lol) also vie gotten better MPG at 70 than any other speed.

here’s what i saw the other day. Last two fill ups hand calculated were 26.1 and 25.9. I could not be more pleased. I live in the country, 16 miles to town, 11 of which are interstate. Jeep has never seen anything other than 87 Octane, from Shell, Speedway or Sam’s. Frankly I’m wanting new bumpers and a winch but am a bit afraid to mess with it given what she’s delivering now.

@Oldbear You're looking around adding 170-200lbs on the front with a winch, plate, cable, and steel bumpers (assuming Mopar). Another 70 or so for steel rear. Not sure how much the aftermarkets weigh mainly but you're bound to see at least 1-2mpg drop. I didn't see much change, if any, adding steel Mopar front - no winch or plate yet - which I think was net 60lbs. You'll need a spacer to offset the front or you'll get a tilt. Think the recommended is 0.5" generally.

I’m looking at the Rock Hard aluminum patriot bumpers. Front is like 37 lbs, so the weight difference will amicably be the winch. A 1-2 mpg hit I could live with- would hat to loose 4-5though.
