Were doing a big build on a JLUR with 116 miles and wanted to show everyone the troublesome factory steering and all the pieces and what they are. If you have any questions, let’s me know and I’ll do my best to answer them. This is my first JL PSC install but they hit it out of the park.

The front axle has been pulled out because I welded on a truss and figured it would be must easier with it out of the way! Working out great too.

First pic is everything that is included and second is the factory stuff pulled out. PSC said they have around 30 of these kits out there so it’s relatively new. We got them to redo their website after some issues were found. We’re running the steersmart tie rod so can’t use the sk501-44 kit. Instead we got the one for an aftermarket Dana 60 and 1 5/8” tie rod clamp.

More come, have the new pump in and belt routed. Working on the cooler now.

This is really THE solution for ALL the JL steering issues....but it ain't cheap
Yes it is and no it isn’t but man it totally makes the JL an awesome thing to drive. Keep in mind he is going full tilt. If your mods aren’t as crazy there is the sk500 overlander version that is quite a bit cheaper and does the trick.

It comes with a price for sure but the quality is certainly there.

You absolutely don’t have to have the cylinder upgrade to get the new pump and steering box which would make a ton of difference by itself. With the big 40s, this should make steering effortless and do great off road

Here’s some pics showing the physical size difference between the stock and psc steering box

I had the Overlander kit installed on my stock JLR. While I’m still working out some other issues, I have to say the PSC kit looked like it had incredible quality. The welds were really impressive.

30 kits does not sound like a lot to me. I thought I read someone post on these forums they had the kit and it still did not solve the loose steering, At this price range I would expect near perfect handling. Looking forward to hearing your results.

That might have been me. The kit fixed the three inches of play in the steering, but not the wandering. I’m researching options now.

I’m seriously considering going this route. Which of these did you select for use with the D44 and the steersmarts tie rod?

Call them and talk to Caleb. Tell him you want what Brett from BnL Jeep Shop got, he should remember me. It will include the 1 5/8” tie rod clamp and you should already have the steering stabilizer relocation bracket. You could use they clamp from the yeti stuff. It could be converted to double shear too.

It’s about $100k in kits! I was surprised at the relatively low number but it is a relatively expensive upgrade that’s a hard pill for a lot of folks who expect great Steering from a brand new Jeep!

This replaces nearly everything. Removed the electronic power steering pump, the troublesome steering box and adds cyclinder assist. There should be no issues with steering

Wish you were closer so I could get your Jeep on the rack and see what’s going on. I can’t imagine any steering issues after the install of this kit. I’m sure they’ve been checked but I’d double check torque on everything and reconfirm caster.

I wish I was, too.

My husband has driven it a few times since the kit and confirms it’s still wandering a lot (he built the JK in my avatar, so is quite familiar with Jeeps). I have some adjustable LCAs that we’re going to put on this weekend. My Jeep isn’t lifted and I have the Mopar lift LCAs on that took my caster to 6*. I spoke to PSC and the owner told me that he adjusts the caster until the Jeep drives straight. His wife’s JL is running at 7.5*.

I’ve has the torque checked a couple times and hubby has checked, too. Good idea to check again.

I hope this works. I’m really at my wits end.

Thank you for the suggestions. I really appreciate it.
