I am thinking of getting small 3 inch lights for the A pillar. If I do will I make it through an automated car wash with the lights intact when I get to the other end?

Does anyone use (go through) car washes any more that are NOT touchless? A Touchless wash won't hurt these, but a wash that has brushes that touch the Jeep might...gotta see what those who have them say.
BTW - why is that called the "A pillar"?...have always wondered...

All pillars that support the roof are lettered in order front to back. On a typical sedan pillars behind the front doors are B pillars and those behind the rear doors are C pillars.

I've had two car washes say it is a no go and that it could cause damage. Is this true? I don't know. I never took the risk to find out elsewhere and handwash instead.

I’m about 50 car washes in, no damage.
All touchless though.

It would be no from me for A-pillar lights in a mechanical car wash. At the very least I would think it would throw off the aim. Also I don't do touchless. The cleaning chemicals are pretty harsh in those.

Buck is right, the cleaning chemicals will strip any wax/sealer you have on your paint right off. If that matters to you, I say that as a retired detailer - I have stories!
