$460 Increase in Invoice/MSRP Pricing on JLUR?

Maybe so, like I said, I may be wrong. However, I remember someone else saying that their dealer warned that sometimes the price can change if FCA increases the price before it's invoiced. I thought that dealer guy even chimed in and agreed but said it didn't happen often.

My understanding has been one of the reasons why you put down a deposit and get a POC is to protect your price.

But things can change. Not to be selfish but is there a change on the Sport too?

It’s not a big issue. They all say that at the bottom in case FCA decides to change the pricing mid stream. At worst, a hundred bucks here or there. It’s really not a big deal. You most likely are fine. I’ve rarely seen it change. It does, but I have my doubts in this case.

I still think it’s just absurd I would’ve ordered sooner if I hadn’t been waiting on FCA to allow me to order Sting-Gray. Now dealers and customers have to bite the bullet because of them...make us wait longer and pay more. Great community relations FCA

I noticed the Entertainment Package went up $200 on the jeep.com builder within the last week

I learned about that last week when I was working with my sales guy.

Yes, I just came from my local dealer and the base price of an Unlimited Rubicon just went up by $500 today, March 1st. A $500 increase to an already too expensive Jeep. I guess FCA does it because they can.

The invoice price went up by $500 or so but msrp stayed the same. I'll bet somehow this has something to do with the number of dealers taking 5% or more off invoice, effectively making it less than employee price. Something to somehow bring the low cost leaders and the regular dealers back to a more level playing field? Idk, just wondering. In a normal situation if dealer invoice is going up $500, you would expect MSRP to also go up at least that much.

Long story short I was able to get my Sting-Gray Sahara order in right before close last night but salesman wasn’t able to officially add it to their order inventory until this morning. He said he’ll still do his best to honor the original price we agreed upon before the $500 addition (which I still find ridiculous considering all the 2018 options aren’t even in full production yet.)

Both invoice and MSRP reflected the increase on my paperwork as well.

Trump is imposing a 25% tariff on imported steel and 10% on aluminum. Even if it doesn't go through for months or years..expect an immediate increase in steel/aluminum prices all the way through to your unbuilt Jeep JL.

I highly doubt it.

MSRP and Invoice pricing are made-up numbers. They aren't legitimate vehicle cost values.

These dealerships selling them at upwards of 8% below invoice are still making profits. And FCA is still making plenty on their end. Otherwise, they wouldn't sell them.

I have a strong feeling this jump is a reflection of the steel/aluminum tariff that the Trump administration just implemented today.

When I ordered my JLUR from Doug at Bob Baker he asked me to write “I agree to this price” and circle the TL discounted number. He stated that if Jeep bumps the price he can go back and get the diff refunded by FCA. He was looking out.
