Maybe so, like I said, I may be wrong. However, I remember someone else saying that their dealer warned that sometimes the price can change if FCA increases the price before it's invoiced. I thought that dealer guy even chimed in and agreed but said it didn't happen often.Not sure on that. This is pretty old but it was always my understanding that if you do it right you get price protection:

I would’ve ordered sooner if I hadn’t been waiting on FCA to allow me to order Sting-Gray. Now dealers and customers have to bite the bullet because of them...make us wait longer and pay more. Great community relations FCA
