I've got the kit from BAM Wholesale.

The dealer has added the sales code LPX for my VIN this morning remotely - I didn't notice any changes on the first start.

So I guess I will be bringing it back to fix the wiring - can you indicate the page or the step of the manual with incorrect diagram so that I can highlight it?

Step 38 (definite), page 12 (may be relative!)
The connector diagram is inverted. If they look at the pin numbers and plug the correct color into the correct pin number, they should be good to go.
If they look at the diagram and say "this pin is on the left, and this pin is on the right" they will screw it up!

I could be wrong on this one, but I think they need to update your computer after they do the remote VIN update. I am not sure a remote VIN update will apply it to your car!

The dealer should know that you have to re program the Body Control Module(BCM), or the headlights won’t work right. The only way to do this is plug in the Mopar OBD2 unit into the Jeep’s OBD2 port and re-program the BCM. Your Jeep gets no programming remotely for the dealer sales codes. They should have done this when you had them instal it.

Looks like Tazer JL got an update that will help with the Halos. Side note - Rubicon fenders on the Sport with DRLs...
  • Added DTC (Engine codes) readout
  • Fixed “Clear DTC” function to have more comprehensive coverage
  • Greatly improved ESS memory function reliability
  • Added Dual Climate control setting for those upgrading from 5″ radio to 7 or 8.4 and swapping in the center stack switch assembly with volume knobs
  • Fixed Winch Mode
  • Fixed Halo Enable function
  • Added ability for Rubicon fenders DRL’s to be used on Sport

I saw this too. I have an open question to the Tazer folks regarding more specifics on the DRL feature, and what to set to enable it. I tried it, and didn’t see any changes.

I did get the DRLs to stay on now - I just updated and was trying to set it to turn on the white switchback light I have. Unfortunately, it turns on the yellow/orange for DRL on my sport. It may have done that prior as well - not certain.

I'll just leave it off for now - then when I get new tires and wheels, I am thinking of getting the Rubicon fender set and try this again with the LEDs.

The diagram is not wrong, just misleading. Look at the connector and it will tell you the pin numbers on the face. It's easy.

Semantics. My dealer "followed the instructions, as written" and got it wrong FOUR TIMES. I told them to follow the text, not the diagram. Following the text will get you to the right place. They ignored my requests.

They looked at a working Jeep, looked at the pins, and then figured it out.

Anyway you want to cut it, the instructions lead to incorrect actions... they need to be updated.

No, not really. Your dealer employs morons.

The pins are labeled on the connector. If they got it wrong they can't count.

From the threads, many dealers employ morons. Mine especially. As others have pointed out, FCA should update the documentation to clarify it. Morons doing installs are a fact of life, and this needs to be engineered in to the instructions.

Does anyone know the length of the halo wires in the factory kit?
I didn't measure mine buy they were more than long enough.. measure from the ds headlight to the ps headlight to the firewall and add at least 24" to be safe if you're trying to make your own harness and you're good.

So I've got these installed at the dealership (NIELSEN DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM). They claim these are fakes, non-MOPAR lights.

Halos don't work and the dealer refuses to take action. Any suggestions?
Are the BAM Wholesale authentic Mopar lights?

I ordered mine from BAM and yes, they are Mopar lights.
Great, thanks. Does the LPX code only need to be done once and cover all LED lights. For example, I’ll have headlights next week but not DRL and fogs. If the code is added now will the DRLs work when I plug them in, or need another flash? Thanks
