I received my XD Rockstar in 17x9.5 with 35x12.50x17 KO2s.

They fit great. No rubbing with bumper insert removed. With the bumper insert in place There is mild rubbing on a full radius turn.

The spare tire also fits but extremely snuggly. I will be ordering the Ace Engineering tire carrier relocation brackets.

Thank you to everyone for answering my questions, especially Matt@Ace engineering and hardt2788.

this looks incredible. I picked up the same rims last week for my JL, except they were 18" rims. I'm hoping to get tires on Tuesday. I've really been on the fence between 33's and 35's. This is my 3rd jeep, and every time I go to the larger tires and rims, my power and the drive and gas mileage tank. You have been driving on the 35's for awhile now, what is your honest opinion on the handling taking it up from stock? I do alot of driving here in Texas and i'm loving the way my JL handles, just not loving the wheels and tires. Thanks so much for your help. It looks awesome.

Looks sharp. I have a Granite Sahara expected any day now. I have been talking with my dealer about installing a 2" MOPAR suspension, but they don't seem to have them available (at my spot) as of yet. Im curious if you could share any additional photos that detail more specifically where you needed to trim. Is this the sport element that connects the from bumper to the fender?

Appreciate anything you might share~

Climbed this steep 5 ft elevated dirt pile at a pretty go speed and nothing rubbed or hit and the fenders are exactly where they are supposed to be.

I went back up at an angle the upper front wheel was close to the fender but no rubbing or hitting.

The only rubbing is on the lower outer edge of the ugly bumper insert on full radius turn. So I trimmed both and you can't tell it was trimmed and no more noise.

Question: Looks like there's no tailgate reinforcement kit and the spare seems to barely fit. I'm told the JL has a magnesium reinforced tailgate that can handle much more than the JK. How did the stock rubber stops contact? Did you get the Ace Engineering tire carrier relocation brackets? How did all that work out? If so, got any new detailed pics of the spare fit? I'd appreciate it if you could elaborate.

Had mileage went from 18 + down to 15. With the ko2s there's not a lot of road noise, but there is a little bounce to it on the highway. I believe that the new lift kit will actually help a little with that.

Looks Great! I'm a first time Jeep owner so wasn't ready to start with a sport and build it out myself on the aftermarket.

I'd like to do a 2" lift and 35" tires on my Rubicon. Quick question for y'all if you have any feedback:

What are your thoughts to put 35" tires on the stock wheel? As always, I have seen a bunch of opinions. Really like the details on the OEM wheel and wouldn't mind keeping them for a while. I have a wishlist of wheels to put on it, but might hang back for a while.

I kept my wheels for now. I like them. I figured I'd use money towards bumpers now and later on once I want to really wheel it I can switch to some nice KMC beadlocks or something

TampaJL- my Sahara just arrived. Really hoping you might be able to share a bit more detail on what part of insert you removed.

I’m going with ProComp 7069’s 17x9 with 4.75 and -6. I’m between the 285/70/17 and 315/70/17. So far, your rig is the best example of what i’d Be looking at until I can do suspension. That said, from cost perspective - not sure how far out that is.

Now that you’ve lived with it - still no rub? Any chance you might elaborate on what part of bumper insert you removed + any photos?

A bit scared to go with 315’s yet KNOW I’ll regret the 33’s after lift

i'm going with the same setup exactly @marcdm. I will choose the 285/70-17. Likely Nitto Ridge Graplers. Please share pics after you set your up. My Sahara is due in around a week.

thanks and good luck!

I’m looking at the same tires - but the 75 instead of 70.

Did you look at the 75s at all? I’m still trying to learn what life would be like with them opposed to the 70s.

Think I’m committed to the 70s as
I won’t need the speedo
Calibrated. With 75’s you would.

I’ve run KO/KO2 for years. Tempting as the taller 75’s are, I just don’t like the stiffness of the E ply tire. The biggest reason I am comparing the 2 I am is that both are available in a C ply. What I lose in durability I gain in comfort. In my 20’s that wasn’t a concern - but in mid 40’s it’s a worthwhile trade off!
