Here’s one thing: have you been to your Jeep dealer lately? All the dealers around here have a ton of 2018 JK 2 doors. FCA is probably in no hurry to build JLs when they have so many JKs to sell.

Not my issue. Why did they continue to make Jk's? Why did they not prepare for the rush of JL buyers? Why did they roll it out as an 18 when it could have just been a 19? Why are they not forthcoming with info to their cust base?

Just spoke with my dealer and the sales manager says they haven't started building 2 doors. Finally someone admits it

Just got off the phone with a supervisor at Jeep.com who told me unequivocally that 2 door Jeeps will NOT be made until mid March, 2018.

Well considering my dealer has two of them being delivered in 3 days... I'd say that's not correct .

If that’s true, I’d love to see pictures when they arrive. No one on the forum that I have come across with a factory ordered 2 door has had one built, yet alone ship. Mine is in D Status for 3 weeks now.

When I ordered mine ( really Wife's ) I was told 8-12 wks. This coincided perfectly with the lease end date of April 7 on her present vehicle. Will be a PITA to go back to 1 vehicle possibly for months.

I’m in the same situation! My lease ends April 17th. I started thinking today about who has an extra car I may need to borrow....cuz, you know, extra cars are so easy to come by.

I also did another chat last night and got Alex, he/she (couldn't really tell by the avatar) seemed helpful and engaged in the discussion. The answer was the same as all of the above. I flat out asked if 2 doors were even being produced. Alex said couldn't comment on large scale production. Long story short, very nicely I expressed that Jeep was doing a very poor launch with information dissemination to ordered buyers. I also expressed that I was very loyal to Jeep but I will probably start looking at another manufacturer. I am in between autos and planned for 8-10 weeks but not possibly May, June or July. Alex was nice and escalated my inquiry to a case so they could find out when it is to be scheduled. Said he/she would get back to me via email in three days and gave me the case number. I wasn't in no way trying to be rude or disrespectful at all and was cautious to be nice. We have to remember we are the customer and I want my Rubi as bad as anyone else on here. BUT, I can go and have a brand new whatever else sitting in the driveway by 9:00 tonight. Jeep really needs to remember that we are the customers. They have a unique product, but it's not the only water for sale in the desert.

Jeep has teams of supply experts with PHD's and Masters degrees in supply chain management and etc. Yet, we get a very bland answer and nothing can be confirmed or estimated. Rant over for now

Again, I am very much a Wrangler loyalist. But this information blackout is driving me away a little more everyday. If discounts on an LTZ Z71 hit the right number, GM gets my $40 large.

Yea I'd like to see also. Nothing showing in transit on a dealer search in my area. Just 2 door JKs

I think they are being made but in a very small amount. Obviously they exist because we have seen them on YouTube and other reviews .

From what I heard from Jeep.Com is they don't have the soft top's in as of yet only hard tops for the 2 dr. but who knows?

If that's true I'm in luck. I changed to a hard top at the last minute.

I plan to get both tops but wanted the wiring all in place for the hard top .Figured it was best to get it from the factory even though really I want the soft top more.
