All in all, I would not touch a new left over 18 JL. Be patient and buy a nice used one for a big discount.
Not if you get a BIG discount on a NEW '18 because it's a leftover. Besides...who cares if it's a '18 or '19? Its all about the mileage and condition when you go to trade it in or sell it anyway. You think a '19 will bring a lot more with equal mileage? Nothing of any importance was changed. It won't. And you really can't compare buying a NEW Jeep that starts out yours from day one and somebodies used Jeep. Buying used is obviously going to be considerably cheaper as it should right? But used is used.

True in most circumstances. However, there may be a gray cloud that follows the 18s around due to the first year issues “death wobble, frame weld issues, etc.” Although, most Jeep buyers aren’t on this forum and probably know little of these issues. They just want a Wrangler. I do agree about the condition and mileage of the Jeep. That’s why low mileage Rubicon TJs are commanding top dollar. All in all, it would have to be a very heavy discount to make sense to buy a new18 Wrangler when you can get 8% below invoice on new 19 JLs.

Not to mention there is a big difference in some regional areas to others. I got really strong money on my ‘17 JKUHR trade in and over 11% off MSRP on my new JLUR so I was more than happy. Some areas seem to have a surplus and some don’t and still give pretty decent trade values. They definitely should cut back production tho till sales catch up.

An upstate NY dealer, Zapone, is giving 20% off MSRP on new 2018 JLs.
So it must be regional..
They only have five on the lot according to their website. I’d like to see that offer in writing no offense.....I ain’t buying it. They will sell you a 50K Rubicon for 40K. Really? I have to call them I know someone looking.

They have 10 now, and 20% off MSRP is pretty specific. MSRP is window sticker, and not subject to game playing.

i see five 2018’s. The other five are 19’s. They are giving 20% off on the ‘19’s too?

I don’t know, I still think wranglers hold value well no matter what trim level.

I got a base 2018 jl sport 2dr manual, least desirable jeep.

Canadian pricing. Msrp was 38000 i paid 33000 with taxes and got offered 32000 trade in on a new gladiator after i owned it for 2 months and put 4000km on it.

Just waiting to see pricing on the gladiator before i make a final decision, but so far id say im winning
