The glimpse of the JL tailgate hinge tells me it is far more robust than the wimpy JK hinges.
I just replaced mine with heavy duty greaseable ones.
The black plastic on the JK ones hides how puny they actually are...
How will that LED backup light compare, I hope that it actually casts some light !

I might be able to tolerate those tail lights. Even though there's kind of an "x" they don't remind me of the Renegade tail lights, which I really dislike. Seems like a lot of what I've seen of the JL is reducing the number of aftermarket parts that I would buy if I were getting a JK.

Both are possibilities but the latter seems most plausible. FCA vehicles are very prone to blinker fluid leaks but I was hoping they would at least fix this issue on the JL. If FCA can't get their shit together they might be losing a valuable customer.

Hopefully the separate segments, finally means an extra cable support in the North American models so you can finally swap in Amber turn signals without a frakjng expensive adapter that 'sometimes' works.

Not necessarily, if this is in fact an LED, which it most likely will be, due to the camera's shutter flickering at a different frequency than that light at that specific time. Always happens looking at LED on TV.
