Sky One-Touch Power Top Priced at $3,995

Is anyone else concerned about ordering the new push button power glide canvas top? Completely new feature for the manufacturer, leaks, mechanical issues with only a 3/36 to back it up? It certainly look great, especially for those who don’t have the time or desire to dismantle their traditional hard / soft tops...ultimately I chickened out on my new JLUS...

Yep I was waiting for that. Now my fully loaded JLUR is $55k. Holy cow that is an expensive Wrangler. Fully loaded JKUR Recon was $51k.

I just fully opted a Recon and it was $54,680. Get alot more options with JL for close to same price.

I agree it's pricey, but you have to factor in the comps: if you got a painted top with the dual top option, you would only save $600, and you wouldn't have the convenience of the one-touch. Sure, it's not a true convertible top, but it is pretty versatile for those who don't want to struggle with the folding soft top (even though it is much improved), or who have no place to store it or the hard top when the other is in use. The market will decide where the price should be and, I for one, will be eschewing the Sky top in favor of the painted top/dual top option, but there is always an upcharge for convenience, and for this top, $600 is it.

Plus: some of those flaps when the top is folded back are pretty sexy, so maybe the girlfriend thing is in play...

And if you get dual tips plus hardtop headliner, it's basically a wash. I liked the idea of the power top, but I too had concerns about leaking, build quality, etc. And I needed my jeep soon since I have a lease expiring. So late availability took that decision out of my hands.

What about the wind/noise factor on the new power top vs. hard top with headliner for better interior acoustics especially when listening to good music? Thoughts?

Having owned a JK with a soft top, road/wind noise on the power top was a concern of mine also.

Guess we’ll have to wait for more feedback on this once the power top option becomes more widespread. Or perhaps acoustics have been discussed online with similarly equipped Renegade power tops

Also with power top you no longer get black rear corner windows option, so how would black fenders look with the power top and body colored rear windows on a firecracker red Rubi for example?

I am wondering how and if the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) will work with the Sky One Touch.

I have owned a bunch of convertibles in my lifetime. I have had a lot of leakers. If people don't want to deal with an occasional leak in the car wash or in a driving rain storm I advise people to stay away from Wrangler.

I believe the TFL reviewer thought that the power One Touch soft top was much quieter than a regular soft top.
I think he did say it was noticeably louder on a very windy high speed drive.

I know you can’t take out the side windows and it’s a bit more open in the wrangler, but the msrp on my liberty with the sky’s slider roof which was a similar concept in 2012 was $1200. Just for comparison...

I just watched a video of the isky retracting and it appears there’s plastic folding panels retracting below the soft top exterior, which if so may justify pricing as perhaps it’s better insulated than originally anticipated plus you save on not having to opt for the headliner making it similarly priced to the dual top option. Would love to see any photo available featuring black fenders combined with body matching rear window/isky power top vs. body color matched fenders in this configuration.

Just went into the jeep site and I don’t see this option available yet? Can you place an order yet with the power top? Waiting for this option along with the sting grey to place my order.

Consider it a race to see who gets their order in first....I've been awaiting the same build.
