Anyone buy and install this winch yet?

If so, what is your impression of it in all aspects.

To be honest, I think it looks great which is driving me to buy it over Smitty or Warn VR8, and budget.

I have their Q9500is on my JK. Used it 4 times in 3 years, not a single issue! Twice to recover Jeeps stuck in mud, once to pull my bus up a snow covered hill, and once to rip a massive bush out of my back yard.

I have the Quadratec Q-Performance Stealth 12000lb winch with steel cable. Waterproof/submersible to 3ft for 30 minutes, wired/wireless remote, LED lit drum, removable clutch handle to deter the Eddie Haskell types, heck what's not to love? At $550 it's a deal. Which winch would you want to winch with?

With the new q performance stealth how is the line speed under load compared to a warn?

Just got my Stealth Q 10K with synthetic line. Waiting on my new bumper before I install. It sure looks pretty sturdy but I cant tell till I get to try it out. I’ve never had another winch, so I wont be able to compare it to a Warn unless somehow I find one to do a side to side with.

A couple of notes. The Stealth Q is roughly 1/2 the price of the Warn Zeon 10S. It looks very well built. It has a couple of features the Zeon 10S doesnt:

1) Wired/Wireless controller (you have to go to the Warn Platinum to get the wireless option)

2) Detachable Clutch switch - I dont know how big a deal this is. Could be a good thing, migdht be just somdething to lose. You can also use a ratchet handle to operate the clutch.

I might add the wired/wireless controller felt a little on the cheap side. I don’t know how it stacks up to the Warn controller.

Other than that, from what I’ve read the Stealth is a good winch. Certainly for the occasional use I’ll be giving it. And it frees up money for other stuff.

Got the 10,000lb with synthetic line. Havent had to use it yet for a recovery but I did tension the line with a flat pull. Love the look and the fit. The remote option as well as the light are a bonus in my book. But like I said, I dont have any real world durability data to share because it has only been installed for a few months.

Does it really matter? I've used WARN, Smittybilt, and I don't remember the earlier name brand winch. All were on my various vehicles for many years and I have an average of 5 uses per year on all the winches.

A WARN might pull a vehicle out in 2 minutes while the Quadratec might take 3 minutes. So what? The Quadratec cost 1/2 the price if not less for the same uses. Line speed is nothing but something guys can swing their ****s about and pout theirs is better.

I highly recommend the Stealth winch! I have this winch installed on my JK and I love it! This has the wireless remote and the light on the winch that matches the J5 lightbar! This winch you can also take clutch lever off for security. This is a great winch for the price!

Just got back from a mock run with winch, works great , pretty fast, maybe not as fast as warm, but I didn’t have one there to compare it to, lol. It’s smooth and very well built. I would definitely recommend this winch, besides you can’t deny how cool the light is. :).
