At the dealership right now, they said that my Jeep has some codes pop up. I will post them as soon as I get a copy of them.

Looking forward to hearing what they come up with. Mine does it intermittently now, and it never happens when I can get to the dealer. Very frustrating. It did it again last night after 2 weeks, and this morning.. gee , it is working again..

Yeah, I don't know what to do at this point. Not getting any help from anywhere. Dealership can't solve my issue, I've spoken to Jeep reps, I have a STAR case open... don't know what else to do. I don't understand how its acceptable to just let your customers drive around with a faulty system like this. Keep checking back at these forums to see if anyone had a fix that worked...

You keep taking it in to have them look at it and try. Look up your lemon law rules for your state. https://www.carlemon.com/state-lemon-law-statutes/connecticut-lemon-law-rights-consumer-guide.html It has been warm here, and it doesn't happen as much when warm.

Well right now the dealership and Jeep seem to be playing a stalling game with me. The solution from the dealership was to switch out the radio, which I said fine, need to go through the motions otherwise I don't have a case against them... the only problem is the radio ETA keeps getting pushed back. It was ordered a month ago! They initially told me 1-2 weeks, then I had to personally call Jeep and see what the delay was. They escalated my case and told me I would have the part by this Monday. I got a voicemail yesterday from the rep telling me the ETA changed to the 25th! I called back to get some answers but no one picked up or has yet to get back to me. I feel like they are purposely stalling or this issue is so bad nationwide that new radios are being sent everywhere and they really are backordered. Who knows... but very frustrating indeed.

Add me to the list, in Michigan. It's usually around 24 degrees when it happens. Super cold negative degrees- it was fine. I've been fooling around with making sure my back up sensors are clean, and my camera lens is clean-- this issue is very sporadic though. My stupid dealer wants my Jeep for 3 days before I even get on any fix list. I did get a case number, but unless I turn in my car for 3 days with no loaner, so they can diagnose something that is plainly obvious with video footage and everything-- they say my case will auto close in 7 days. So far my radio is working 90% of the time-- but eventually I'm going to get really pissed about this. It's terrible Jeep service.

Fuse 97 Worked!! I have a 4 hour car trip so I'm hoping I get my 2 week extension, and I don't have to pull this fuse every time I drive.

Funny you say 24 degrees, because that is exactly the temp I've been noticing cuts out on me. I've been making little videos on my phone every time it happens, and 99% of the time it is when it is 24 and slightly below. But I know many have had the issue with warm temps too, so who knows. Although it is quite strange most of the problems on these forums started happening late fall/ early winter.

Here's what I've deduced from all my interactions, troubleshooting and speaking to reps/dealership. Since I've brought my car to the dealership with this issue over a month ago, they ordered me a new radio. Since then, tons of people have been having the issue and having radios, amps and cameras replaced. Nothing to my knowledge has worked. I believe Jeep has delayed the delivery of my radio because they must have identified the faulty radio line and don't want to send me another one of those. People that have had their radios replaced so far have had them replaced with the same faulty line of radios. So they cancelled me getting one of the radios tagged with the issue, and now waiting for the new line that do not have the problem. This is why my ETA for delivery of the radio has now been pushed back to the end of the month (it was originally due a month ago, and they actually told me they had one for me last week, and this week all of a sudden they don't). The reason why Chrysler has been dragging their feet on this is because they do not manufacture the radio, they had to wait for the manufacturer to identify and correct the problem. If my deductions and my un-named source (who fed me this information) are correct, then I should have no more problems after my new radio comes in. If that's the case, a LOT of people will be needing to replace their radios because then it is not a software issue. This is just speculation... but we will see. Still hoping all of a sudden a software update is sent and fixes the issue, but I'm really starting to think its the hardware. I'll keep ya posted...

I finally took my JL into the dealership and they were able to reproduce the issue and called Jeep. So after 5 days with a little Renegade loaner they told me Jeep is aware and likely will be a software fix in the future. Sorry.. I did like not having to put miles on my car for a week but feel like this should be a priority for Jeep to find a fix.

I'll give them a couple of months, but if not, I'll explore my options.

What did the dealer have to say? What were the codes?
They gave me a printout of a bunch of codes , I would post it but my personal info is all over it, they also told me the rattle I was talking about was related to my
Muffler and the ordered me a new one...in terms of the radio they didn’t do anything because I had an aftermarket antenna....gotta go back next week.

they wouldn't do anything for your radio cutting out because of the antenna?

@eugene @RIC3BOY And everyone else...

So I installed a mini Tazer JL for my Wrangler because I wanted to adjust tire size and some other options like lockers in 2 Wheel Drive etc.

Funny thing is ever since I installed it last week I have been going strong for 7+ days with no issue.

I am still waiting to see if the issue occurs again while having the Tazer installed and if it does at least I will have the option to do a full reboot of the UConnect System via the Tazer interface. People in the forums say that fixes the issue... way simpler then having to deal with the infamous fuse F97.

Granted we should not have to buy 3rd party products to make our vehicles work properly but just wanted to see if anyone else out there has the Tazer and if they are having problems still?

If it helps, I have a Tazer JL (not mini) and I have this trouble semi frequently. Happened today even when it was 43F which is probably the warmest I've ever seen it happen. Usually it's always in the 20's before it starts.

I may have to figure out how to do the Tazer UConnect reset you mention. Would be nice to have some option other than pulling a fuse.

Hi Arkewn,

The mini is essentially the same thing except they were able to get rid of the OBD port part...

I am running the most current firmware which is technically in Beta that allows the lockers and some new cool stuff. Perhaps the reboot is only in the beta? Not sure.

Well I got the issue again... after 10 days even with the Mini Tazer JL installed.

The only nice thing is I was able to try the feature where it allows me to do that full Ucconect re-boot and that fixed the problem... so it is saving me from opening the hood and pulling Fuse 97. I just need to pull over and initiate the re-boot that take about 1 minute.

The frustration level is at an all time high with this whole thing.
