I do all the same with 32s so I'm still not sure its "nessessary" to upsize unless you have some taller obstacles to get over.
I have a couple friends that have property we go shoot on, there are some....difficult areas to get to for my truck only because of it's length and size. Their truck can't get there on their 32" tires and lack of clearance. I can...but it will be easier in a 2 or even a 4 door Wrangler.

It was sarcasm, but we’ll go with honesty.
I completely get the reason for upsizing tires if you're getting over rocks and other tall obstacles but I personally don't seen any other reason for it. I've had no problems with mine so far. I'll be sure to take a picture when I do get in trouble though. :)

Tall enough obstacles, I understand.

You seriously have never encountered a two track mud hole that was deeper than the clearance your 32's and axles gave you?

Jeep Wrangler JL MOAB...I just don't understand img_1157-

Got out of the mud just fine, wasn't too deep.

There was another that was axle deep but didn't give me much trouble. That one was more watery rather than pure mud/clay.

There was one time we got a HMMWV stuck, but I wasn't the one driving and the guy just guns it and dug himself in rather than actually getting traction to get himself out...

No we actually like Sport owners because at least they keep it real and do valid mods (usually) look at all the peeps who buy sports and slap pro rocks on them...
The rubicon crowd horribly out weighs the “non valid” mods than any other group. Guy next door to my dad, fully loaded 2 door Rubi with chrome accents and a boss v plow...

I remember that mud, it’s a bitch to get that off.

Actually if they did a Willy as a 2 door, with 4.10 but without lockers I might actually lean towards it lol. Not hating lockers, but I don't rock climb (yet) lol
Interesting thought that your fine with a sport dressed as a rubicon but not a Sahara dressed as one
If they do swap out for the Willy’s option, it won’t have 4.10’s. Willy’s option in the JK era was 3.73, power, soft top,Rubi rails and suspension
