Rubicon wheels and tires and magnaflow axle back exhaust
Any rubbing without the lift kit using the Rubicon wheels and tires? I may do same on my JLUS. I put on a flowmaster axleback was slightly loud on the interior so I used a movers mat in the back, it helped some.

Gotcha. My Sahara has tinted window panels for the soft top...are they darker than factory? Or did you have clear plastic? If they are are just slide in/out, I'm curious why you had to have the dealer install them?
No they are the same ones you have.

I installed them just as you would taking yours on and off. I just ordered them through the dealership. Got a hell of a deal as they had to price match a site I found.

EDIT:

I had the clear ones from the factory as I knew pre-purchase I could get them cheaper after the fact. Thanks to another member on here I got them even cheaper than I had thought! I’m a penny pincher..

Can you post the site you found them at? We just got a Sport with clear soft top windows and would like to purchase tinted ones. Thanks!

I’ll PM you what I did as you don’t want to order them from the site but rather use the site as leverage at your local dealerships service dept. Your dealership can get them in quicker and may have them on hand for same day pickup.

What are the pros and cons of the air dam up front? After removing the Euro bumper pieces I'm debating whether or not to re-install the air dam.

Several new mods to the Sahara. I had a 2" spacer lift which I removed and installed the Rancho 3.5" lift with the RS9000 adjustable shocks. Profile is much better now however I need to add a front 3/4" spacer to the front to offset the rake as the Bumper and winch causes the front to sit 1" lower than the back. I had a warranty issue with my previous XD822 Monster wheels so swapped them out for the Fuel Assault wheels which I like much better

The Fuel Assault wheels are a -12 offset and 4.7" backspace. The Rancho Lift Recommends a 4.5" backspace (as so other lift kits, I chose to buy wheels with the proper offset versus using spacers)

In December I received a 15% off Mopar parts coupon so I purchased the Rubicon Hood

I know many have added comments but looking at 285/70r17 vs 275/17r17’s on a JLU sport. Put wide 33’s in my JK and struggled to keep 65 uphill on a highway. I see a lot of people with the 285 setup but wondering how much you lost in performance and if anyone has tried the 275’s?

285/70/17 is Rubi stock tires that many of us sport jeepers have as takeoffs. No issues cruising at 75mph although it may stay in 7th based on wind / hill.

The 8 speed JL transmission is so much better than the JK transmission. You WILL NOT lose any noticeable performance going to 285/70/17 especially if you reprogram for tire size. I have a Sahara and I am running 35s without any noticeable performance loss at all. I would have never been able to run 35s on my JK with the 3.21 axle ratio. I did run 35s on my JK with the 3.73 axle ratio but it was not ideal.

Thank you! Just got nervous after the JK experience.
