That's actually a clever idea...You could tie off to any tow point and crank away.

I might do that if I ever go wheeling without someone with a winch...

Edit: Upon further reading, I shall consult @jlopes68 beforehand if I ever decide to actually purchase recovery gear.

They have big ones designed for it, obviously takes a bit of work, but I have done in past, and got one my jl.

Obviously its for simple stuff like pulling out of a rough spot, not pulling your self out of a river or out of a pit. You will want a shovel, and straps etc.

Given how seldom I go wheeling, let alone by myself, probably not an imminent purchase. But thanks for the insight and info!

Sadly, it takes a lot of work to find a good trail out here. Then there's the lack of storage for all these goodies.

99.9% of all my wheeling is done by myself. It would be cool to have a "wheelin' partner" I could call up and say, "Saddle up! We're headin' out!" Lol!

Our 2018 2-door JL's are truly the "unicorns" of the Jeep world. Folks just will not see many 2018 2-door JL's out on the road and trails. 2018 JLU's? Hell yes. 2019 2-door JL's? Most likely since there wasn't the big cluster f**k with their production.
Sooooooo..... I decided to come up with a couple of decals that sets my Stormie apart! A regular "2018" decal; and a 2018 with a unicorn in the center. I put the regular on Stormie.

And this is what the one with the unicorn in the center looks like:

Mine was the only 2dr 6MT my dealer had sold when I took ownership. Not sure if that has changed or not, but the odds are in my favor!

I found them, looks cool.

I am guessing roams info was cut and pasted they list them as same weight as 4 door..

I really like them! Hopefully they are available soon.
