Still two and a half weeks before I turn over my JK to the new owner. Started clearing it out so I can give it a decent cleaning before he takes it. Was surprised at how much “stuff” I had stored in the storage and under the seats. Stuff such as jumper cables, flares, reflectors, two knives, one hatchet, one saw, one trenching tool, roll of duct tape, window breaker tool, one multi tool, 3/8 drive and sockets, two flash lights, extra batteries, cell charger, full first aid kit (complete with CAT, splints, etc.), fire extinguisher, one gun, two extra mags, survival food and water for three days for two people, portable CB radio, three blankets, two jackets, two hats, gloves, winter brush/scraper, sun lotion, chap stick, mosquito repellent - even found a P38 for those of you that can remember those. All that and more doesn’t count what ever may be in the glove compartment – that is my wife’s territory :)
not as much room under the JL seats

I had a lot stuffed under the seats, in the center console and in the compartment where the jack is stored. Figured I'll have less storage so I'll probably utilize a couple medium sized "gym" bags behind the seats. Might be able to use the Molle straps on the back of the seats. Are the windows on the three piece hard top privacy glass?

Finally put a set of Rubicon take offs on my 2 door Sport S. Here are the before and after pictures!

Looks so much better with the Rubicon wheels! I wonder what they were thinking with the silver Sport S wheels? I wish they would have painted them a darker silver or black. I honestly like the steel black base Sport wheels more then the silver aluminum Sport S wheels. lol.

Good morning everyone! After three good days in New Hampshire at the Live Free or Die IDPA Championship match and a bit of thruway driving.
I do think my gas mileage is a little better with the 315 tires than with the stock 285's. I was getting over 21most of the time and at home in the country 20.5. On a similar trip with the stock tires I was about 19.5 to 20 thruway and 20 at home. Keep in mind the lower 410 gearing of the Rubicon.
I was also presented a first place award in my division from the New England Regional match. All in all a good trip. Now back to work and wishing you all a good week!

Just a note to be prepared that the JL doesn't have nearly the storage space as the JK. One of the things I find I'm not liking about my JLR over my JKS is the lack of storage "nooks and crannies"

99.99% sure the back seat will be removed like I did on the JK. The foot space behind the front seats will be utilized for storage. Most likely find bags that will fit in the area.

i stuff our hammocks and tarps n bivvy down in that spot, and im still able to pack stuff flat over the top of them. directly below the front seats is much narrower than the JK, jenn has jumper cables, jumper battery, airing up bag (with hose, pressure gauge n misc tire parts) under her drivers seat. and i can fit a mac book under mine!

weekend observation from our bit of mud driving. mud is where you draw the line on the AT's, if you are likely to encounter any mud, our observation was that Jenns MT's performed much better. i was getting a lil squirrely, sliding around and fishtailing. where as Jenn would hardly slip, just here n there a lil bit. my $0.02
