Anyone try this out yet? This is my first Jeep, I want a modest (2") lift, so i can still fit in my parking garage at work.

I just installed the Daystar kit last weekend. Install is straight forward and the ride is the same as stock. The the lower arms got a little scratched during shipping so I had them powder coated red to match the other accents on the Rubicon. For $400 I am very pleased so far. Here are before and after pics. Tires are 35x12.50x18's

Did you take a picture comparing the stock control arms with these? What reason did you go with this vs the RC 2.5” budget boost?

Hi Kyle

I have used Daystar spacers/lifts on other vehicles (F350) and have been happy with the Kevlar/Poly spacers they use. If they hold up to a 7500lb truck I figured they would be fine on the Jeep. I also liked the idea of getting a kit with new control arms to correct the castor. I found the kit online at Autoplicity for $299 and figured if I didn't like it I could probably sell it and get most of my money back. Even at $400 I think it is a good value. Unfortunately I didn't think to compare the factory control arms to the Daystar arms until I already had them both installed. My guess on a 2 inch lift is the difference in length would be minor to change the castor a couple of degrees but the new arms are nice and seem very solid. I did measure ride height before and after which came in right at 2". It did offset the axles about 3/8 to 1/2 inch so I ordered Rustys offroad track bars to correct the offset which probably isn't needed but I would like the axles centered to minimize the tires throwing debris down the sides. Total install took me about 3 hours. Jeep drives/rides the same as stock and the only adjustment I had to make was to center steering wheel.

Thanks for a legit answer! 299 is tempting

@JLU Pilot are the front and rear spacers both 2 inches? I want to keep the factory rake. Does this kit do that?

Yes, both spacers are 2 inches which keeps the factory rake.

I decided to buy a suspension system due to off roading and I'm going to sell my budget boost from Rubicon Express with shock extensions (also have Rubi take-offs) if you're interested I'll be selling mine at a discount. PM me if you are.

Anyone else have photos of their Jeep with the Daystar 2” spacer kit? 37s would be great!

Or feedback on install and ride quality after the lift?

Two questions about this.
First, I wanted to mention that the reason I looked at this kit is for the same reason. I want the control arms to correct the caster after lifting. You mention ordering track bars to adjust offset. Please excuse the rookie question, but I'm a bit confused by this. I normally hear offset referred to when talking about tires. Are you referring to toe or camber in this situation? Or does the lift push the tires outboard a bit and the trackbar brings them back to stock location?
You also mention not needing to do any other adjustments rather than the wheel. I've read a lot about Jeeps since buying mine a few months ago (1st Wrangler ever after years of Rams and Dakotas) so I'm still learning. If I understand it correctly there is no alignment adjustments on the Wrangler? So am I wasting money by getting an "alignment" after installing a lift. If they can't adjust anything I would assume it's pointless. I'm not against doing it, I've done it on every truck/suv I've ever lifted, but I'm also not going to throw money away if they can't adjust anything. Any insight on alignments? If the track bar allows them to adjust toe and/or camber then I'd definitely go get an alignment, but I'm curious if I'd be wasting money without one.

I think he means (because it happens to a slight degree) that when you move the axle down and away from the frame, it does not drop completely vertical. The axle shifts to the side (axle offset?). A new, adjustable track bar or track bar relocation bracket with re-center the axle under the Jeep. A 2" lift shifts, or offsets (bad word, I know) the axles about 3/4"
See this video. I think the guy is a forum member here. At about the 50 second mark, he does a visual explanation of what I was talking about above.

As Keith noted in his reply, when i mentioned "offset" I was referring to the shift in the axles from center after the lift. After I installed the lift my axles shifted roughly a 1/2 inch and the adjustable track bar allows you to recenter the axle. With a solid axle truck, there should be no change to the toe or camber from a lift but the castor will changes which is why many kits include lower control arms. If your Jeep was aligned properly before a spacer lift it should be fine after the lift beside the steering wheel which takes 10 minutes to center. I have a shop close to me that offers a free alignment check when having tires rotated and if you need adjustment they will then charge accordingly. A number of people have found their alignment to be off from the factory so I personally think it makes sense to get it checked after the lift but I don't know that it is absolutely necessary assuming your Jeep drives fine prior to the the lift. The Wrangler does have adjustable toe and the castor can be changed if needed with adjustable control arms or by retrofitting the front control arm bolts which can be seen in this video starting at the 7:00 minute mark. Thankfully mine was within spec after installing the Daystar lift so nothing was needed. New track bars are not needed if you are okay with the axle shift and many people do not add them with a 2 inch lift. I hope this helps.

I'm sure you are within spec. With respect to caster it should be 4.8 degrees (+ or - 1 degree). Can you share what your caster spec was with the Daystar kit? I just curious...mostly because I'm think I may want 5 to 5.4 degrees, as shown in the video you posted.
