Summer plans once I get a soft top is to remove all carpets. Still undecided if I'll line the tub or just keep touching up the scratched bits.
Ya, dont laugh but I wanna keep the little cubby (I know its small but I keep tow straps and dog supplies there). Hopefully someone will make a metal lid for it soon. The other odd thing in the design is no drain plugs for rear seat foot wells on 2 door.

Oh well, once I figure out new flap, I will go from there

Talking of little cubby. Is there a mini cubby in the dash if you don't get the tow package where the switches would have been? If so, good for anything - change, gum, etc.?

I think thats where a media connector goes if you dont get the switches. There is a little half self up below all that, but you cant put much on it. you could put gum on it.

The center console is good and has a big lower area and a top area handy for items you need quickly. I got the Tuffy console lock for the lower part. ITs really nice and give you some lockable storage thats realy nice to have

Dealer did the standard quote "8 to 12 weeks" but with the steel bumper restriction he thinks it would be more toward the 12 weeks. That is fine with us since we'll be on an extended trip returning December 23. Hopefully we will be able to pick it up December 24 - Merry Christmas!
Where are you hearing about steel bumper restriction from? Ordered mine on the 15th and there were no restrictions at that time.

Mine was ordered on the 25th. Two restrictions (yellow lines) - AST Steel Bumper group and 24R Customer Preferred Package 24R

Passing on steel bumper group not a bad idea, front one seems not too bad, but guys wheeling them hard are not crazy about the rear one.

You cant go wrong really on the JL, so no worries any way you go

I'm not a heavy wheeler any more. But I do like be able to go places that others can't. Being I'm in the Northern Nevadan high desert I've gained a number Nevadan desert pinstripes on my previous Jeeps. I've also have a few barbed wire cuts on the front bumper (choice of ditch or wire) and a crumbled rear bumper from an unseen rock on my JK. Both would have been just scratches if I had a steel bumper. That is my reasoning for ordering the steel bumper. Rather have scratches than dimples and cuts :)

Good Morning! Have an amazing day!
I'm having coffee while watching the sunrise, then heading to my first Spin class. I hope I survive.
