Go back to offering the Sahara trim in a 2-door. Add the SOT option for a 2-door in all trims. PROVIDE A CD PLAYER OPTION!
I'm with you on the CD player. I think back to the aftermarket 10-CD changer I had in the trunk of my car from the mid 90's to 2007. I'd LOVE to find a quality changer like that! I t would be PERFECT in my JL.

I know, I know- I can (and do) stream stuff, but it's just not the same.

My big ask would be a powertrain upgrade. Prob can bank on the new Hurricane 4 and 4th gen ZF tranny from the GC, but as an owner of 2 successive 4xe's, that would still not be enough power to satisfy. Since the big battery was the biggest issue (the recall), why not just leverage everything else from the 4xe and just go with a smaller battery without the plug-in? A full hybrid with the Hurricane 4 would have well over 400hp and 500ft-lbs of torque.

2027 Wrangler. 3.6 V6 with upgraded cams, lifters and so on. Crank windows, manual locks, basic radio with off-road pages, no auto stop, and A/C. Now for the upgrades. Dana 60's with a 38-40" tire option, sway bar disconnect, and of course front and rear lockers. Price it at $60-$65,000 and call it a day. Give us some options like soft or hard top, maybe a 2-3KW inverter with a battery we can use with engine off, maybe an upgrade shock option like adjustables, PSC or some kind of ram steering, but make those all options. Just the basic ton axle Wrangler. Oh yeah, make it available in a 2-dr to show them some love.

Also make prerecorded thumb drives with the music you could get on your favorite cd’s , I took my cd’s to the local computer guy and he ripped them out in a few minutes I like the small size and ability to browse different artist, recordings etc with the premium system that came in the JLR. Just plug it in.

Yep, I've done this as well, but mainly just leave an old iPod nano plugged in to USB in the center console. I can control that from the head unit.

You can stream or download your tunes at CD fidelity or higher with lossless, I have a large CD collection from my youth, but its all been ripped and installed on my phone, play it thru carplay with a usb-c physical connection. Or as I stated can stream even higher with lossless, but its all irrelevant in the high ambient sound environment of the Wrangler anyway.

Someone missed a great business opportunity with individual prerecorded thumb drives say you could purchase ccr , the Eagles etc just like a cd.

Probably an unpopular opinion around here and I am late to the party and didn't read past page 1. Wranglers steer fine and people just don't know what to expect out of a solid axle vehicle that is pushed around by the wind.

2018 JLU Sport - Steers fine, it had a quite the bump induced shimmy and wobble somewhere between 30k-40k miles which went away once I replaced the tires. At 130k (I drove it just yesterday) you can tell suspension parts are worn out and you can feel vibration in the front through the steering wheel. I need to go through it and start replacing rubber because of normal wear and use. But even with the old loose suspension it steers fine.

2024 JL Willys - feels better than the 2018. At 30k no issues. And I have plowed this thing into holes and over curbs off the road at higher speeds than I probably should have.

2026 JL Rubicon 35's - Steers like the 2024 just taller and feels like stiffer suspension.

Do some people have real issues? Absolutely. But I think most of the complaints are from people who expect Wranglers to drive like every other IFS SUVs.

With all that being said IMO the Wrangler platform will garbage if they go IFS. While I currently have no plans to buy anything newer than a JL, I realize things change. But if they go IFS I would not buy another Wrangler.

As for the other items it's just more crap and comforts to make things more expensive. Add them as an option but don't force them on people that don't want them.

Just my .02 cents.

Yea there really is 0 incentive to buy a Wrangler over anything else other than the SFA and manual transfer case. If those go away the people that care about off roading stop buying them new and the image that sells the Wrangler dies slowly.

Hey Jeep! Here’s a wish list for the 2027 Wrangler, but sure too late for 2027 production.
  • Fix the steering. This is a known complaint and a huge aftermarket offering, but solutions voids Jeeps warranty. Come on Jeep, you know this is an issue that can be easily fixed for production. Step it up for 2027. Don’t wait for the J70.
  • 5,000 lbs tow package on 35’s
    • Adjustable rear shocks
    • Class III Hitch
  • Upgrade steering
  • While cooled seats may not be an option, how about strong fan ventilated seats (top and bottom front seats) with perforated leather.
  • Better insulated Sky OneTouch. Mostly for thermal.
  • Digital dash
  • Factory retractable rock slider steps that are made to protect, like Rock Slide Engineering. The 2027 Bronco is getting retractable steps, but they don’t appear to be ā€œrock slidersā€ from the looks of spy shots. I may be wrong.
Sir, this a Jeep forum.

Agreed. These are my takes as well.

Manual transfer case šŸ‘ , I forgot that was a major selling point for me as well. Having been in a newer Chevy that couldn't/wouldn't release the transfer case for whatever reason, then having to back up down the shoulder of an 75 mph highway to get it to release and go into high gear is not a fun experience.

The dirt lifestyle video comparing his Taco to his wifes Gladiator mentioned it as an issue he was having that pushed me towards the Wrangler over the Taco I had a deposit on.

It can be, but I think the biggest factor is the caster. Jeep uses the same control arms for every model and the ride heights vary by quite a lot. That means so does the caster. Jeep might say 4⁰of caster is within spec... because they don't want to use different arms on different models. The 2024 4xe sahara rental we had in Hawaii didn't wander in the slightest but it also sat pretty low and rolled on basically car tires. It cornered really well too. Can the stock steering be improved? Absolutely. So can the stock suspension, tires, powertrain, etc.
I only got as far as this post, but it’s already clear that Zach got it right. Measuring caster is straightforward, correcting it with longer LCAs is just as simple, and it works. On my last two new JLs, I ordered adjustable LCAs before I even took delivery.

If you’re complaining about unstable or ā€œflightyā€ steering and haven’t addressed caster, it’s hard to feel much sympathy. Jeep is obviously cutting corners by not resolving it at the factory, but there’s a proven—and very well-documented—solution. It can cost as little as $50 for a moderately skilled DIYer, though I’d still recommend investing in adjustable LCAs for a better long-term fix.

I just want the instrument panel to be centered on the steering wheel this time.
