New Soft Top

Well, used OEM soft top to replace the Bestop fastback. Not liking the extra effort to fold back, but the kiddos will now have a fully open Jeep next time they visit. And I have Safari Mode. 🍻

I’m in the fastback camp, but I totally get the “fold it all the way down feature”….in fact if the fastback we have, ( Bestop Trektop Ultra ) didn’t fold all the way down and have the ability for safari mode, it would’ve been a deal breaker…….Do they not make the Trektop Ultra for 2 door ?

They do NOW
But they only released the “trektop glide” like a year or two ago. It was only safari top with sunrider since 2018.

edit: they do not make a square top for 2 door. And Gary wanted the extra space of the square top.

Slept in this morning, but thanks John I did want the extra space of the OEM top as well as it folding all the way back.

Bestop does make the "Supertop Glide" now:

https://www.bestop.com/products/supertop-glide/

I'm sure it would let me have one hand operation as well, but can't find information on that.

One of the things I just can't stand with their tops is the obnoxious branding. Lots of that going on in the aftermarket but as they did not pay me to advertise for them I don't feel the need to roll around like a billboard.

The little tags above the doors were enough. The tramp stamp goes too far. 🤷‍♂️

Wow… didn’t expect you to have logophobia…. A black sharpie goes a long way to making that disappear….. But I’ll never understand letting a logo keep someone from buying something…. Oh well, each their own and all that shit I guess…🤣

I bought the NX and loved it. Great easy open and all that, but my biggest motivator was the kiddos. They were a bit disappointed that they were still covered when I had the front open.

Later they were disappointed when rain started and the coverage didn't go back far enough. 😂 🌧

Is "logophobia" a word?

Anyway, I didn't mind their tag as it was small and not obnoxious. I don't feel the need to run around like this:

For one, I'm sure I'd break something, and not just the Jeep... But more, the vehicles in races are dressed up like this because they were sponsored. Daily drivers don't need to look like this IMHO.

But if you feel the need, you do you. 🍻

Nah, that’s a bit extreme, even for me…. I 100% understand the kiddos conundrum…… and I doubt that’s a word, I often times make shit up to explain what I’m trying to say…🤣

I had no idea they released a squaretop version for the 2 door now. Took 'em long enough
