Starting February 1, 2026, vehicles built with steel hoods instead of the standard aluminum version will show an adjusted price on the window sticker.
The dealer should honor the lower price from your original VON.

Update: My dealer called today. As mentioned by several, they will honor the original price of the deal, before the hood discussion ever started. He also said that Jeep isn't charging his dealership either, but my window sticker that I snagged online today does list the steel hood at $795 and is added to the total price.

My ride is already in transit, scheduled to arrive by rail in Orlando on the 18th. 2-3 days to the dealership from there.

My window sticker is still MIA but the build sheet is available, and sure enough, it's there at the very bottom of the 'Optional Equipment' list like an afterthought...oh wait.

Stellantis: "Oh shoot we don't have enough aluminum hoods due to that factory fire, so let's use the heavier, non-functional 'performance' scoop steel hoods and charge the customer an extra $800 for it and claim it's an upgrade".

Yeah, it's a real cluster. My dealer even had the regional manager try to change it during scheduling.

To make things even more complicated. Some Willys have either "Non–Vented Steel Hood" or "Steel Power Dome Dual–Vented Hood".

You're good, the standard steel hood isn't the one getting the extra charge. The hoods that are getting the extra charges are the ones that got the 'power dome' and 'performance' steel hoods. I think this is more of an issue for those of us that put in an order for the Rubicon trim in a specific timeframe and getting the forced hood swap.

No dice. I have used the official Chrysler URL as well and that doesn't work, so I guess it's still too early.

I feel like seeing your jeep roll off the assembly line probably made the wait even harder but it sure was cool!

Yeah you are right, my Brother in law drove this off the assembly line on January 9th. The last month has been an eternity waiting to get to this point. (Now we are traveling so have to get back home to finish everything and arrange the shipping or pick up.
