That's another (small, but they add up) time thing -- using a tool at all. Getting out the ratchet, attaching the bit, disassembling and replacing it after the process.Clearly that was all just unfounded fears.
I found it to be a more after the fact problem. I rolled my 13 JK and in helping my family and I get out, as soon as they opened my door it fell and was dangling by just the door limiting strap and the electrical wires. So now I keep the bolts in on the bottom of the hinges.Clearly that was all just unfounded fears.
So when you opened the door it fell away and gave a bigger opening ... seems like a win to me.I found it to be a more after the fact problem. He didn't say away. It could have fallen in. I assure you it will fit in the opening. Fact for the day. That's why manhole covers are round. A circle is the only object that won't fall in on themselves. So when you opened the door it fell away and gave a bigger opening ... seems like a win to me.
Nope, not a win. I sat there, hung there ?, trying to get the wire to not break. I couldn’t get the connection to disconnect. Thinking that I was still gonna save my Jeep.So when you opened the door it fell away and gave a bigger opening ... seems like a win to me.
Nothing, that’s why I keep them IN now.So what, specifically, is different about this vs. just leaving the T40 screws out on a 18-25?
Lesson learned, the hard way.So what, specifically, is different about this vs. just leaving the T40 screws out on a 18-25?
Check out the linked article and the highlighted paragraph in post 55 of this thread. We can only hope they've attempted to try to mitigate some of the galvanic corrosion issues while thinking about the hinges.
But might be worth it if you knew it would prevent corrosion...and honestly, Stellantis should foot the bill.So I guess to retrofit a '25 you'd need to buy new hinges and a new door stop rod for all 4 doors. That'll probably get pricey.
