Mopar Fox Shocks

These look brand new to me and I can get them for $80. Are they any good? I have the stock rubicon take offs on my Jeep currently and they’re leaking and I’ve been looking for some and found these. I’m also willing to wait and get the 5100s if they are better than these.

They retail for about $250 each, so if they fit your jeep,, that’s a good deal. these are from a gladiator- I’m pretty sure- I don’t know about interchangeablilty across models. I have fox shocks on my JL, and they are good shocks.

for $80, how much worse could they be than shocks that are leaking?

i had the "Rubicon" shocks before i went to the Mopar/Fox shocks that came to me with the Mopar "2-inch" lift, and felt they were softer and smoother than the red shocks.
but they were specific to each configuration (4-door diesel in my case) and stickered differently than what's in your pic; i don't know if they're exactly the same or if the ones you pictured are intended for your specific trim/configuration.

run the P/Ns and see what they're intended for! they may not be the proper open/closed length for you.

I put a Mopar 2 door lift on my 4 door Rubicon. The ride is very good. I went with the lift because it was cheaper than buying 4 new shocks.

Oh wow. I hadn’t gone that far as to look them up honestly. They do come with the spacers for the JL.

I remember reading this! I tried to jump on that qudratech deal they were running but they were out of stock by the time I looked.

I figured $80 for non leaking shocks was a good deal! I just wasn’t sure if they’re any better than the 5100s. I currently have the 4dr shocks on mine idk how the p/ns coincide with one another. I will check that out.

I am not 100% sure on it however I believe the eyelet size on the top of the shock may be different from gladiator to wrangler. I was looking at installing Mojave shocks on a wrangler and learned about this difference and possibly needing to drill out the eyelet. It's possible this is a Mojave only difference and not the gladiator, but something to look into.

If you want a guaranteed fit for your Jeep I'd recommend upgrading to these Fox shocks. Gotcha, I wasn't sure so I wanted to throw that out there. It must be one of the differences with the Mojave then.

The Fox shocks are a great product and I would prefer a Fox product over a Bilstein product. The Bilsteins are built with quality, but I don't like the ride they produce.

As for the Mopar Fox Shocks, you will like the ride with the shocks providing that you don't exceed the factory stock height and weight limits of the vehicle they are designed for. Keep in mind that Fox is great product, but these Mopar Fox Shocks are off-the-shelf and designed and built by Fox to the specifications as dictated by Jeep.

If the Gladiator mounting points or the shocks valving or length are not the same/compatible for your JL, I have a full set of the Mopar Fox 2" Lift Shocks with less than a thousand miles that came off of my 23 Wrangler Rubi 2 Dr that I be willing to sell.

The Mojave shocks have a larger bushing bore size.
14mm vs 13mm bore for everything else.
