My experience is that the trashers are, more often than not, young males between their teens and 30 ish and often drunk. I'm not sure why they do it. But I suspect it some kind of rebellion statement like "you can't tell me what to do, I'm an adult now. "

I've never understood the idea of driving somewhere, getting drunk and then how would you even get home?

I'm not trying to get a DUI! My company does background checks on us every 3 months, they see a DUI on there and I'm ****ed! Probably looking for a new job faster than I can say

I mean even having drinks at dinner, let alone at a dedicated bar, like two drinks is my maximum, cuz I still got to drive home!

Responsibility is a shitty thing! Maybe the people trashing the trails don't have no responsibility! Clearly they don't give a shit, maybe they don't care about themselves either! 🤷‍♂️

Join a Jeep club in your area that maintains trails, clearing brush, picking up trash etc. Even on a regular run, folks will stop periodically to pick up beer cans, trash, etc. We just joined a club that maintains several trails and takes keeping the trails clean and open seriously. They are a nonprofit and make major donations to other organizations trying to keep trails from closing down. Just an idea.

Something I feel strongly about. I have thrown handfuls of ashtray back into someone's car. I have picked up FF bags and ran down people on my motorcycle with a "here you dropped this" and I throw it into their window. My wife has gotten into fights over tossed cig butts. well almost. The other chick chickened out and apologized. I have a "Don't Mess with Texas" LP on one of my trucks.

RE: Littering and similar.

Such behavior can be cultural, depending on location and circumstances. Acknowledging this fact helps to manage expectations, without giving the offenders a pass on the matter.

Businesses and people are sick and tired of things in Kalifornia, and are moving. Unfortunately, a lot of the people that are moving to Texas, are bringing their same mindset with them.
Gatekeeping and victimhood with a sprinkle of political bs. Congratulations on your hat trick. 🗽

Wow. Reviving a long dead thread, and quoting a message several years old, just to do what? Say I told you so?

I get his point; the same is happening in FL. I read his post as being factual. His only editorializing is one word: “unfortunately.”

The only thing that bothers me about the increasing Florida population isn’t political at all; I have good friends on both sides of the aisle. What bothers me is the traffic and increasing development out here in the country.

I may be wrong, but seems to me that economics drive people to move, either to or from a place. People/business have a lot of tolerance for policies if they're making money and have a good standard of living. I did.

I would like to see less banning, more mutual respect, and thicker skins. We are ALL Americans!

I strongly suspect that you and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum, but I don’t care. I come here for Jeeping-related things, and making new friends. Your Jeep posts are always good, in my opinion, and I enjoy reading them.

Although I may disagree with you and others politically, so what? Multiple parties vying for opposing things is TOTALLY American!

Some people bring a shotgun to a knife fight and we all get a warning.
So from there its a tightrope......Otherwise it will be like what Twitter has become a free for all.
We could start our own forum called JEEPSANDTHEDICKSTHATDRIVETHEM.com 🤣
