Would be interesting to really know where these overseas buyers are that would absorb those Chargers, people that could afford to buy those Chargers could easily get them purchased in the US and shipped to them by a broker, one major reason American vehicles are rarely shipped overseas, is that in most countries around the world anything with an engine bigger than 2.0 gets slammed with hefty import duties, usually 100%, another huge issue is lack of parts availability, so a simple part will cause a vehicle to become a paper weight. Factor in poor FCA quality, the last place you want them to fail is outside North America.Right now, they know they can sell ICE Chargers as dealer and customer orders are enough to keep us at full tilt through the 2026/27 model years. It was Tavares who eliminated the V8 program and switched the focus to an EV model for EVERYTHING we built. That was a mistake even he admitted and that's why we're doing a full turn to mostly ICE and easing into EV.
On a side note, talking with the Dodge SRT guys I was told that if there wasn't internal rules in place they could easily ship 80% of the Named Chargers (Demon, Hellcat, SCAT, etc) they were capable of building to overseas buyers.
